🌸 Ladies of Hive Contest #302: I look like myself [ES/EN]

Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you're all doing great. This week, we have questions from @saffisara for the community contest. This time, I'll focus on the first option.
Who in your family are you most like, and why?
Honestly, I don’t think I look like anyone in my family. Physically speaking, I think I have several of my dad’s features, and maybe I share a bit of his calmer, less overbearing personality—unlike my mom’s. But overall, I don’t think there’s anyone else in this family who looks like me, nor do I look like anyone else. Seriously, I think I came into this family to give them a different perspective on life. I’m the most spiritual one in the family; I’m the only one who loves reading books and can’t imagine life without them. I’m the one who wants to try performing rituals, reading tarot cards, exploring the world of manifestation, and all those kinds of things. All these tools have given me a different perspective on life; I feel like my consciousness is more expanded.
In any case, I sometimes recognize aspects of my personality that are influenced by my parents’. Obviously, I can’t shake this off because they raised me, and I adopted similar behaviors and attitudes that I learned from them. I just added my own personality to them. I think this sums up pretty well part of who I am.
I also admit that sometimes I feel like the black sheep of the family. At one point, I was happy because one of my nieces had started reading books like I do, but now she’s focused on other things and has put this aside. At least I haven’t seen her reading anymore, and it’s a shame because I’d already thought about which books to lend her for her age group and even gave her some as gifts. Still, I’m hopeful that she’ll get back into it at some point because once you enter the world of reading, it’s rare to leave it. I feel like she’s the one who’s a bit like me.
On the other hand, I don’t know my father’s side of the family; he’s from another province and moved to the capital when he was quite young. He met my mother here and stayed. They’ve traveled back there, but at some point they lost touch and never saw each other again. So I’ve never met my paternal grandparents or my uncles and aunts; I have over 40 cousins and I don’t know any of them. My mother had only one sister, who died very young, so our family here is quite small. I don’t know if I look like any of those people I’ve never met—maybe that’s the trick, and I’m not such a black sheep after all. Who knows? Only God knows the reason behind things, but anyway, it’s not something that keeps me up at night.
It goes without saying that I love who I am and everything that I stand for. It couldn't be any other way.

Well, friends, that wraps up my thoughts on this topic. I hope you enjoyed it, and I invite all of you who are reading this to join in.
Thank you for sticking with me this far and supporting my content.
See you next time!

Espero puedas sumarte, saludos.

I seem to be drawn to your personality, especially getting to know that you're a like a box filled with unique discoveries. All that awesomeness and not finding anyone yet who you are most like in your family must be hard to think about sometimes. I, too, would be curious because I believe there must be someone we share more similarities with, whether dead or alive.
But it's a great thing that you do not feel some type of way about it. You've embraced your personality fully without further questions, and that is true strength. I hope your cousin gets to pick up reading again. Hugs!🫂🌺
I loved what you said, thank you. Yes, I suppose I must resemble someone; maybe it’s someone who is no longer on this plane and whom I never got to meet, but surely there was someone. And if not, that’s fine too; I also like thinking that there’s no one else quite like me, haha.
Thanks so much, my friend, hugs!
Perfect mindset to hold. Have a lovely weekend, sis.🥰
It is very moving to recognize certain character traits shared with your parents—while still being defined by your own personality and a deeply spiritual nature—and the self-love you reflect when describing who you are is wonderful. Have a lovely afternoon,

I definitely have a blend of my parents' personalities, but with my own personal touch. Yes, I think it really shows that I’m working on my self-concept, and that makes me more aware of all my capabilities.
Thanks for stopping by—cheers!

I'm all too familiar with that feeling Sis. In more ways than one.
Ever wonder what it would be like if we had a twin that is exactly alike?

Yeah, I used to wonder about that a lot. I used to think she’d be everything I’m not hahaha, but now I’ve learned to live with myself and my quirks.
I hug myself, and I hug you.
