Back To The Art Exhibition

Today I'm going to show you some artworks that have inspired me in a way or another. It's a pleasure to see so many good works in one place.

Back To The Art Exhibition.jpg

There were paintings, drawings and even sculptures for all taste, but what i liked the most were the drawings, I mean those inspired me the most. Let's see what you like the most from this collection :)

Elegy

This is a painting of a typical rural scene. This is how houses looked like in the village, made of pise, covered with shingle. Unfortunately in some part of the country, you can still find these houses. People set in front of the house in the evening, after finishing their work for the day, relaxing, having a chat with neighbors, sharing stories. This painting is like a mirror to those scenes.

Garden
It's an interesting illustration of a garden. What I liked about this painting was the colors and the style. Look at those brush strokes, how straight those are.

Sweet Burden
What can I say? I think the artwork says it all, don't you think?

20221115_115651a.jpg

Gray Days
Although this abstract might not tell you much, it's kind of what we're going to get here soon, unless there will be snow. What I like about this painting is the directions. It's kind of like a storm, but still lovely.

World Of Shadows
This is one of my favorites, not only for the yellow-orange color combination, but because of how the artist chose to present the shadows. It's a very interesting way, I love it! It's like a woman is dancing in front of the fire.

20221115_115758a.jpg

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis means a complete change of character, appearance, or condition , but honestly, I admit, I fail to see it. It's an interesting abstract for me, but that's all.

Thoughts

When I saw this painting I thought this may as well could all be me. Sometimes when i have a problem to solve, my thoughts are all over the place, looking for the best solution by analyzing all the options. I like this one, it's a good one.

20221115_115902a.jpg

Prayer

Although there's no link between this painting and the previous, I can see one. The previous one is clearly illustrating someone who's tortured by their thoughts. Sometimes, when there's no solution to a problem, people start praying, asking God for help. I see this painting as the continuation of the previous one, as a desperate act.

Tranquility

20221115_115949a.jpg

These paintings were in the corner of the room and there was a piano in front of them, so i could not go closer, unfortunately, but judging from where I was standing, the one in the middle and the one on the left could be interesting.

20221115_120027a.jpg

This was the artwork that inspired me the most. As I have been saying, I'm not an artist, have no talent at all, but still, I'm planning to learn doodling (yeah, I'm planning a lot these days) and this to me looks like a motivational piece.

Crossing People

No matter how strange this painting looks like, I love it. Unfortunately now I can't figure out if there's also reflection interfering, or what you see is all on the painting. If you look at the left side of the painting, how the shadows appear and taking more shape on the right. Love the texture as well. Nice!

20221115_120227a.jpg

Apocalypse

This indeed looks like an Apocalypse and I like it.

20221115_120246a.jpg

Looking Up To The Sky Covered By Stars

Unfortunately there was no explanation to the artworks, so I had to rely on observation, when judging the techniques used here. It is wood, I suppose the face is done by burning and the rest is paint. It's a unique one as I've never seen anything similar, but then again, every piece is unique.

Lights In The Crown Of My Favorite Tree
This is also a wonderful piece, I love the colors a lot. When you first look at it, you have the impression that there's about a storm, as the branches are leaning in all directions, but it's not.

20221115_120631(0)a.jpg

This was a huge heartache. I wanted to take a lovely photo about this artwork as it's one of my favorite, but it was under glass and in front of the window. The worst combination one can have in a gallery. So I took 10 photos from different positions and this is the only usable one. On the others there's too much light reflection or my hair is visible, which has no place on the photo. So you might ask why I like this drawing. It's simple. I like it because the artist had only one color at hand and still could create a cool artwork.

20221115_120707a.jpg

To finish this post, here's another cool one, which is called The Signing Machine. Again, apologies for the quality, but it was impossible to take a better photo.

This is it for today and you know the drill :)

The first work of the house here where I live there are still people who usually sit in front of their houses after finishing the day to tell each other everything they have done during the day, besides gossiping a little, this work is great. I enjoyed the fall and crossing people... as always I enjoy art. In 15 days I think I will go to an itinerant exhibition at the French Alliance here in my city.

Thanks, Erika a pleasure to read you,

Some of the people here do that still, especially the older generation and the rest are busy with life and are not interested in gossip anymore, which is good.

Good luck and enjoy the exhibition.

All the paintings are incredible. Among them, my favorite one is the painting about ‘thoughts.’ I assume that a part of me was like it, hehe. The image of ‘tranquility’ and ‘metamorphosis’ was also fantastic, as I found them meaningful. I wonder what inspired the artists to make this craft and why they were made beautifully. Have a nice time and more art exhibits to visit, dear Erikah. !PIZZA

I said the same thing about the ‘thoughts’. I could see myself in that painting.

The truth is, you most likely could ask the artists when there's an exhibition, if they are at the opening, but I don't go to openings as the crowd stays in the way, you can't take a decent photo.

Thanks for stopping by and for the nice wishes. I wish you the same. Have a nice evening :)

An introvert like me also stays away from crowd although there are times that I wanted to go when someone invited me. Just like you, surely I would only go to a place when only few people are visiting. I could enjoy the place very much when less people are around. Whatever the inspiration of the artist, surely the emotions came from the heart that brought a beautiful painting, dear erikah.

It's not about being an introvert. The problem is when there's a crowd and everyone wants to look at the artworks, there's no way of taking photos as someone is always in front of your camera, covering the artwork, which is frustrating. In those cases you either wait till people leave and spend hours struggling, or go home.

Looking Up To The Sky Covered By Stars. This one if my favorite for today. It has something mystic and it's impressive. I'm not sure about having it at my wall because it looks scaring at the same time.

That's an odd one and I agree, it has something mystical. Lol, I wouldn't have thought you're the type who get scared 😁

I am usually not afraid, but I don't like it if I see this one when I want to go to the bathroom at night lol.

You always give us very beautiful paintings, I am so motivated to visit some of the exhibitions that are around us, maybe in the next few days, because for now I am a little busy.

I wish that too, but I suppose we were not born with such talent :)

People who don't know about paintings like me will definitely not know the meaning contained in each of these paintings, I only know the beauty that belongs to is very attractive, especially that finger, what an idea

Well, as they say, the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so you either like it or not, you don't have to be an expert. I also know very little about art, but if I like what I see, I'm happy.

True, so too if we like someone, there is no need to look at the physical🤭

I like art, but to be honest I can't paint. What I really like and describes me is the first painting, namely in the countryside. It feels familiar in my mind and life

I can't paint either, so no worries. I'd rather draw but have no talent of drawing either, so it's just for fun.

That scene seems to be familiar for many, I suppose people still live like that.

Yes, that's right, most people used to even start from the village before they were rich and went to the city
