Christmas Market

It's almost Christmas, there are only a few days to go, but the Christmas market has been open for a few weeks now. It's the usual market, almost with the usual stuff, but there's always something you have not seen yet. These markets are like magnets to people. Even if you don't need anything, when you see what's on display, you most likely won't leave empty handed.

I'm talking from experience as I have been buying things myself, but not as much as others :) I took a few photos to show you what crafters are selling these days. maybe you'll be able to find something nice for yourself.

Let's start with some sweets, that were new to me as I've never seen them there. These are all kinds of fruits rolled in chocolate, like strawberries, bananas, grapes, pears and apples. 2euro for one stick, which is 150g - 200g, depending on what you choose. It was tempting, but not worth that much honestly.

Lángos, kürtös and crepe can't be missing from any fair and as expected, prices are of top level. They also have Erdélyi palacsinta, which means Transylvanian pancake in Hungarian. I had one two years ago (I think it was the same as this one) and it was good. They also had horn cake filled with ice cream. These are all very tasty and very bad for your diet and pocket as well as none of them is cheap actually.

Pickles anyone? These buckets are always attractive to me and I never buy any. Now imagine Santa bringing you a big bucket of pickles 😂

The lady was looking very suspiciously at me, I haven't seen that then, I see it now looking at the photo, so I had to edit her face.

Handmade toys, dolls, whatever you want to call these. I'm always glad to see these and value them more than plastic. As you can see, there was a great variety, for every taste.

This was another thing that I can really appreciate. Wooden ornaments. I remember each year when we took out the Christmas decorations, there were always a few broken ones. It hurts to see them broken as each ornament has a story and brings back nice memories. For a good few years I've been focusing on buying sustainable ornaments, made of wood mostly and not plastic. These are not cheap but are for life as you can't really break them, unless you apply vandalism.

Lavender sellers were also prepared for Christmas and if you are a lavender fan, you could buy whatever you like. Those decorations were fantastic.

There's no Christmas without gingerbread. @incublus loves it, so I should have bough him one. Maybe next time :)

Hive! Yes Hive and the products :)

More gingerbread and more honey. The truth is, such a present is always better than what you buy elsewhere. If you can afford it, go for it.

I am always looking at these lovely edible artworks and never buy any. This year that changed as I came home with these two. Santa with a broken nose (it wasn't me who broke his nose though) and a lovely heart.

Christmas decorations are becoming nicer every year. These are really lovely and just as expensive. I suppose I need to learn to make Christmas decorations, starting from next year.

Wooden toys are also getting more and more popular, which is a good thing. I would buy a car to put on my desk, but the price is not exactly pocket friendly, not to mention that this would be just an item to look at, nothing more.

Ho ho ho ho! Here's some pickles for you. Come and give Santa a hug!

That sounds so funny hahaha.

I know you are kidding, but I don't like gingerbread. I only like @erikah's special gingerbread, the one without ginger 😂.

Probably because you were taking pictures. I get that a lot when I’m taking pictures of something.

I’m sure all of my monies would have finished at the sweets store😂

They don't like to be captured on camera, the girst thing they think of is you're taxman.

Yeah, those sweets are working like magnets.

I was reading this post, looking at the pictures and saw that stand of handmade toy dolls and things...I'm pretty sure I saw one of me, a perfect likeness, right up the back on the shelf.

Lol, actually I was thinking a truck would be better for you. I loved those, honestly and I would buy one for myself. Maybe for you too, but only if you are good and behave 😂

Those wooden trucks looked amazing. There's a place here that makes them actually and my brother once got one for Christmas. I like toys like that, wooden and hand crafted.

I'll be happy to have one, but I can't promise to be good.
