$HIVE, $BTC & ETH/BTC Technical Analysis - 09.08.2026
It's Sunday again, the day for my technical analysis and I'm actually glad as I have no clue what $HIVE has been doing, or the other assets, pairs. Have been busy with real life things and put trading on hold for now.

On the monthly time frame, price is meandering around the monthly open, which means accumulation. It's been 9 days (almost) since the monthly open and price hasn't done much as we have neither considerable upper wick, or lower wick. The game play is still the same, sweep ATL and bounce, or if we get some bullish momentum, the slim bearish gap is the next target, marked with yellow.

On the weekly time frame, after last week's big bearish candle, we have a doji so far this week and price is trading slightly below the weekly open. The game play here is almost the same as at the previous time frame, which is sweep ATL or if we get a reversal here, retest the order block (OB) and turn it into support, which is needed if we want bullish continuation.

On the daily time frame, we have a swing low at $0.0414, which has a very high chance to be swept these days.
This is what I wrote last week in my analysis. Since then, $0.0414 has been swept and $0.0409 has been set as the swing low and if things go well, we're going to close the second bullish candle today. So far it looks like a rounded bottom, even if it's not really clear yet. Don't get too excited though as it's possible the downtrend is going to continue, but this is just my opinion and we have to trade what the chart gives us.
In case we get more bullish momentum, I'd be keeping an eye on $0.0436 as the next target on the upside, after which comes the bearish gap, marked with yellow on my chart. This gap means resistance, so be prepared for a rejection as well.

From scalping perspective, this h4 chart looks terrible 😜, but let's get past this tiny, but extremely important detail and see what we have here.
Price created a swing low on Friday this week, at $0.0409 and is climbing up since then. We have a bullish gap on the buy side, which was fully rebalanced yesterday and retested today. The retest went well as price bounced off nicely, but the candle ended as a doji, with two long wicks and the current candle that is closing in about 85 minutes has a long upper wick, or shadow, which means selling pressure and weakness. I wouldn't exclude another retest of the bullish gap and if the gap can't hold price, then a sweep of the current low is in cards.

At the beginning of the month $BTC retested mid-range, turned it into support and has been accumulating under resistance since. We have two equal highs above the current level, marked on my chart. The first one, at $65,392, is going to be swept shortly and if there will be enough momentum, the next one is at $67,276, which is right under the bearish gap. There's a chance we get a rejection there, as that's the top of the channel price has been chopping inside since the 1st of July. I'd be careful there. If the gap can be turned into support, then $82,811 is the next target on the upside, but there's a long way there. We'll see.

ETH/BTC looks healthy, printing higher high and higher lows, but retesting mid-range can still happen.
Next week we have two red folder days, with important data release, so protect your capital as there will be volatility and manipulation to shake everyone out of the market, especially on Wednesday.

Remember, technical analysis is not about forecasting price, but about reacting to what price does.
As always, this is a game of probabilities, not certainties. Also please note, this is not financial advice, it's my view and understanding of the market.
