$HIVE, $BTC & ETH/BTC Technical Analysis - 19.07.2026

Ok Hivers, let's see where we stand today and what we can do next week, once traditional markets open, regarding the assets and pairs I'm always charting on Sunday.

On the monthly time frame, $HIVE hasn't done much this month. We had a slight move to the upside, but nothing significant and at the time of writing, price is back to monthly open. There's not much to say here, other than what I've said in my last technical analysis post, which was last week.

On the weekly time frame, $HIVE went into consolidation starting from the 15th of June this year. With the risk of repeating myself, there's not much new to write here either. We need to wait for the market to show its hand. We need $HIVE to move out of this sideways price action and either sweep $0.0453 and bounce, or go higher from here.

On the daily time frame, we have an interesting price action. Interesting yes, but boring as well, however, I'd like to show you something.

I'm not a pattern trader, but we have a nice inside bar pattern here and at the time of writing, price is trading slightly above the inside bar low. Interesting that ever since the pattern has formed, price has never closed outside the inside bar.

The game play on this time frame is the same as on the higher time frames. Swing low is the obvious level to sweep, but you can't take it for granted as we trade what the chart and the market gives us, not our wishes. We need price to move out of this channel.

On the h4 time frame, we have a choppy price action, as expected. However, the chops are getting smaller, which could mean a bigger move is coming. Immediate levels to watch on this time frame are $0.0475 on the downside and $0.05 on the upside, if by some miracle, we get some bullish momentum from here.

$BTC on the daily time frame has managed to clime above mid-range and are trying to sweep $65,596. If price manages to turn this level into support, then swing high could be next, which is $67,276. I'm expecting some resistance there as we have the lower fair value gap there.

In case we get a rejection at this level, retesting mid-range is possible and sweeping $61,272.

ETH/BTC on the other hand is moving to the upside. This week the pair managed to climb above mid-range and is retesting it as we speak. If this level holds, then swing high could be next, at 0.032055. In case this level can't hold, then I'd be looking at 0.027593, which is the top of the bullish gap as well.

It's not every week that you see this, but next week there are no data releases scheduled. This however doesn't mean you will not see volatility in the market. Economic data is not the only factor influencing the market, so stay safe.

Remember, technical analysis is not about forecasting price, but about reacting to what price does.

Hive might still be a rare place where technical analysis could give humans an edge. Any major assets are traded by computers that are connected to exchanges with instant pattern recognition and ability to trade much faster than retail. Do you find technical analysis helpful in your trading?

I rely exclusively on technical analysis, but not every asset can be traded with the same strategy. Hive for example is good for swing trading and spot, but I can't trade it low time frame, it's impossible.
