George, The Bunnies And A Cat

As I mentioned in my last post yesterday, last week I went to visit George and the bunnies. George is not my friend, although I have tried to make friends with him several times, but with not much luck so far.

George, The Bunnies And A Cat.jpg

Last week I was excited to see George again and when I stepped in his "room", he was resting as always.

George

This is George and this is how he received the guests last week. It was in the afternoon, around 6pm or 7pm.

20220819_172007a.jpg

His owner told him to get up as guests arrived, but George was not really interested. The owner petted him, which George liked a lot, but that was all. He went back to resting as his days has been very difficult. Dolce far niente all day every day is hard work and George was tired.

So after a short chat, I went back to George, hoping he'd be more kind to guests.

20220819_172204a.jpg

He was still resting and looked at me very suspiciously.

20220819_172205a.jpg

Then this happened. He did it again, he stuck his tongue out again! Just like last time. Not nice George, not nice! You don't treat guests this way!

This is his dirty nose :)

The Bunnies

After my failure with George, I went to the bunnies, which are next door, basically they are neighbors. This cutie pie was the first one I had the pleasure to pet. Look at how cute it is 🐰

20220819_172036a.jpg

This little black one is famous for its uneven ears. I'm not sure why but the two ears are falling in different direction and it's funny.

20220819_172059a.jpg

Another cutie pie with white nose and white paws.

20220819_172114a.jpg

Meet the crowd.

20220819_172116a.jpg

Cuteness at the highest level!

20220819_172117a.jpg

"What's going on there? Why is this giant here?" 😂

20220819_172119a.jpg

"Very suspicious! Better keep an eye on her. God knows what she wants!"

20220819_172144a.jpg

These cuties are the newcomers in the bunny family.

20220819_172148a.jpg

And this is the rest of the family.

I was told I can take home a little bunny and keep it as pet. I said Thanks but no thanks as keeping an animal in an apartment is not right. So I'd rather go visit these cuties every time I can, but I'm not going to torture then in an apartment.

The Cat

I met this cat near a bench and surprisingly she did not run away. Most likely she's used to being around people (if it's a she at all).

20220817_092405a.jpg

She was trying to tell me something, but we don't speak the same language, so I did not understand what she wanted.

20220817_092407a.jpg

I'm not a cat fan, but this one had some nice colors.

20220817_092410a.jpg

At some point she got bored, turned around and went away.

It was fun photographing these animals, even though it's not easy, especially with the bunnies, when there's more than one. They move like crazy, so I just take a bunch of photos, click, click, click and hope there's one or two I can use. However, practicing is always good.

George is a different matter as he's not moving much, his weight is not letting him, plus he's lazy too. This is good and bad as well as there are no angles to exploit. I either catch a few good shots, or not. Looks like him sticking his tongue out has become a habit, so I suppose whenever I go visit, I can take a tongue photo.

The cat was a bonus as that was accidental.

There's this photo I like a lot. I was focusing on the turkey, but my camera decided to focus on the hen. It would have been a cool photo, but I like it anyway.

Wow! your day was filled with animal friends Ms. Erika. Maybe George was tired of receiving guests, oh no! not again! hoomans?! ☺️😁
The bunnies were so cute. Is this on a farm? The last photos had me laughing because you don't know who photo bombed who! the turkey or the hen😄😄

Indeed my visit was filled with animals. George is a lazy creature as all he does is eat, sleep and repeat. That's why he's so tired all day.

This is my dad's neighbor's small farm.

Since I posted this blog, I'm thinking the last photo is gold, for the focus. I mean the turkey is closer, yet the focus is on the hen.

They are very cute, but they really don't greet you well and try to be enthusiastic about guests.
I'm sure you're not a guest there. said one of them: "Look, He only came to admire us." The others chimed in; "That's right, he didn't bring carrots or anything else for us to eat, right?".

BTW, I really applaud your attitude in rejecting what you really like on the grounds that their rules should not be maintained in the apartment.
Have a nice day.

I guess George was missing when greeting people was thought 😕

And you're right, should have brought George something.

I love animals and pets but I also believe in fairness towards them and not selfishness. They need to be treated fairly and they need to be given what they need, plenty of space included.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice evening.

When I read your title in my following feed, I got super excited to meet George and the bunnies as I had seen you mentioned them in your wood post. They are the coolest looking buddies! Pigs apparently make such good pet companions. I had a bunny once for many years, he was an absolute sweetheart so this was wonderful to read.

George is too cute with his spots, I love the photo of him sticking his tongue out at you too cute! He does look quite surprised to see you there.

If it had been me, there is no way I would have been able to say no to that black bunny. My gosh, the cute is too much 😍

Indeed they are all cute, George included, even if he's a bit naughty at times (I mean every time 😂). Next time I need to bring him a carrot and try to bribe him, let's see if he's going to more polite 😏

The problem is we don't have carrots in the garden as the soil is not suitable, so I need to buy him one.

I love the bunnies too and would love to have one, but I'm traveling a lot, so it would not only hold me up, but it's not fair towards the bunny either. I don't have the space they need. So whenever I'm visiting my dad, I'm visiting the neighbor too, to see George and the bunnies 🐰😃

Bribing a pig with food, sounds perfectly achievable. I think he'll be far more interested if you bring him something he enjoys.

Oh of course I understand that it wouldn't be right to keep a bunny if you can't house it, but my heart just melted at the sight of that floppy ear. It's great that you've got such a nice relationship with your dad's neighbour, pets like these make visits more fun.

The bunnies are so cute😍my son really loves it but I am afraid that it will bite him so decided not to raise it for now😁.

They may bite and scratch but maybe not all of them. I know people keep them at home, so you may ask around, maybe a vet can give you some advice.

George looks calm maybe it's his rest time and wouldn't want some disturbance lol.
The bunnies are very cute . About the ears falling in different directions, I have noticed that with dogs I actually don't know why they do that possibly it's out of excitement.

I'm not a cat fan, but this one had some nice colors.
We are opposite here I love cats. But currently I can't keep them in the apartment I reside .
Beautiful photography. Coming to spend quality time with the guys is awesome hope you enjoyed their company.

I'm loving George! I got Peppa and Durok back home too but I haven't seen them stick their tongue out at me. I should be keen next time.

I said Thanks but no thanks as keeping an animal in an apartment is not right.
