Glass And Metal At The Art Nouveau Gallery

avatar

Two days ago I posted about the exhibition I visited at the Art Nouveau museum, that was named The Roof Of The Universe. The Art Nouveau museum is just one of many, hosted by the Palace of Culture, so if you're in the area, you may want to allocate half a day to visit all the wonderful cultural home has to offer.

Glass And Metal.jpg

The artworks, that I showed you here, looked like metal lace on glass and that is why I said the keyword of that part for me was lace.

The second part was a bit different and surprising as well as I was expecting something similar, but instead I got artworks where glass was more dominant. It's the same artist, Ioan Tâmăian but a different style.

I'm not saying it wasn't nice, but after seeing those gorgeous lace-like metal works, what I saw here could not beat that. This is why I preferred to show them in separate posts.

This was the first artwork in the second exhibition room. Lips. Red lips on blue glass.

This one looked a bit different and resembled more to the others I saw previously, but could not come close to them. After a close look, I suppose it's a woman upside down, it would make sense judging from the form of the lips.

This artwork is called Adam and Eve. Before I saw the title of the artwork, I tried to figure out what it is, what it represent. After learning about what is it, I tried to see that the artist meant, but I couldn't honestly. I mean I know the Bible and know how Eve was created, but this? 🤷‍♀

This was an interesting one, although I can't say I understand it. However, I live the collar. It's like lace :) And I like the dress too, with that lovely blue stone.

This one I think is too modern for me :)

This was called the altar of the virgin and no matter how strange it looks, I liked it.

This is strange too, but interesting in the same time and if I were to pick a strange one, I would definitely pick this one. The good thing about this is that the lips are coated with lace-like metal, which does not attract the eye like with the second piece I showed you in this post.

A nice, colorful birdie, not so small though.

A purple glass lady with slightly displaced body parts.

A red glass ball covered with metal, symbolizing people dancing?

Those of you who have seen the previous part of my post, I'm not sure what you think of this but I think we can agree on the fact that these are very different.

So what is art? I think everyone defines art in a different way and sees the artwork in a different way. If I were to answer my own question, I'd say art is what you make it to be. Some can really see what the artist meant or see something at least, while others pretend to understand and only buy it because it has a nice market value, coupled with the hope of a nicer future gain. Obviously you can invest in art without liking what you buy but at this stage I still prefer to buy what I like. This is why I would definitely choose something from the other room.

It was a nice adventure I won't forget easily and thanks to 21st century technology, I am able to look at the photos whenever I want. I'm curious to see what the next exhibition will be like. I'm ready for the next adventure.

So what would you choose from here?

What a beauty of pieces, that is art at all costs, and the reality of the artist who creates it must be without a doubt what I can visualize through this publication.

The artist for me expresses the artistic eroticism of the mouth that speaks, makes up, tells stories, explores flavors, textures; I am not an expert, but the mouth is our canvas to be able to speak with words, sounds, and tastes about the meaning of life, of our perception and interpretation of our reality.

Thank you for sharing the works of this museum through your eyes @erikah

I would have loved to talk to the artist and ask him what was he thinking when creating those pieces or what motivated him, but it was not possible. It's always nice to compare what the artist thinks with what you think.

It is always good to compare what the artist thinks with what you think.

It is correct, he has his perception of his reality and of what he is living at the moment of creation, maybe he expresses an experience, a love or a real or imaginary sadness, the important thing is what one perceives as an observer, how it makes you feel at the moment of appreciating the work.

I learned that as a child with my mother and maternal grandmother, who are both visual artists. My mother is still alive at 84 years old, my grandmother paints her work in the sky; her style was naïf. At any moment I will make a delivery of that experience between artists, works and museums.

I appreciate your look at my comment @erikah

My favourite is hte purple lady, the colour of glass is very special and the shape of glad is typical for nice woman body. The combination of colourful glass and golden colour metal is beautiful. Thank you for the journey to this wonderful world of art.

I'm not a fan of purple, actually I have nothing that is purple, but that artwork looks good. And you're welcome, I'm glad there's this possibility to show you what you can't see in real life.

Amazing works of art from those with high instincts, I'm sure making art takes a long time.
You are very lucky to be there and see the fruits of that extraordinary artistic talent.

You're right, it takes time, it costs money and there's also a lot of frustration involved. I'm trying to visit what it is available as it's not only fun, but educating as well.
