Having Fun At The Gallery

As I mentioned yesterday, today I visited the new exhibitions to avoid missing them. Lucky me, I was still in time, do today I can show you some new arts photos and share a funny story too as I had part of a very nice and funny surprise.

Having Fun At The Gallery.png

The first exhibition I visited was a shared exhibition of Kinga Lőrincz and Borostyán Kelemen, called "Boundary-Lines". Two talented ladies with art you've never seen before and the title is not random, there's a reason they chose it.

The mandatory first photo at the entrance, that gives you an idea of what you're going to see. Usually this is the place where I say a silent "wow", that can be literally anything, but I'll let you decide what kind of wow it is for you, so let's see what I brought for you today :)

Borostyán Kelemen - Small horizontal dance, brown-purple

Abstract art and unfortunately I lack the knowledge, or capability to understand it, so I'm just going to let you enjoy it.

Kinga Lőrincz - Village

20261015_120101a.jpg

This on the other hand is a different matter. I had to have a closer look to see how it was made. First I thought it's a print, but it wasn't, it was painted and in a very nice way. The village is kind of hidden, or minimized inside the pattern. It's not exactly my kind of art, but I love it.

Kinga Lőrincz - Hills

Similar style, different artwork and this is where my suspicions got some confirmation. At the first painting, I thought I'm seeing female body parts. Here I can say the same, but who knows. Seeing something repeatedly doesn't mean it is there.

The work resembles graphics, which is more common than painting and possibly a bit easier, but this is just my thinking.

20261015_120146a.jpg

I took a close-up photo to show you, it's not a print, it's a painting and I can only admire those who are talented enough to create such artworks using only lines. You really need to know the directions you drive those lines towards.

Borostyán Kelemen - Two purple figures on a long yellow background

20261015_120221a.jpg

Borostyán Kelemen - Compulsion

This was the cherry on the cake. A bound body and the snail on top indicates that it has been in this position for some time. It's sad and causes you an unpleasant feeling when you think that there is a person there, but in a figurative sense, this is how life is. In so many occasions you find yourself bound and you don't know how to get out of it.

And now let me show you the fun part.

20261015_121003a.jpg

In the last room, there was this canvas on the wall, with the painting accessories next to it. At first I thought they recreated a painter's workshop.

20261015_121041a.jpg

Then I thought it would be a fantastic idea, to set up such a workshop with a clean canvas in one of the exhibitions and let visitors paint whatever they want and then see how the canvas looks after 3 weeks, when the exhibition ends.

Then I asked the curator lady what this thing is and ... can you guess what her answer was? Exactly the idea I mentioned above 😂. She told me I can paint something on it if I want, so I did 🤣.

As you know, I have no talent, but I wanted to contribute to this marvelous artwork, so I looked for a piece of canvas where I can paint something and the bird looked suitable.

20261015_121327a.jpg

First I made a drawing with some kind of chalk. A real masterpiece, you can see it 😆

20261015_121606a.jpg

And here it is, finished with paint 🙈

20261015_121624a.jpg

What do you think? Is there a chance for me to become the next Picasso? 🤣

Anyway, it was really fun and an unique chance not many have. I mean you can paint at home, but to paint in a gallery and leave your "master-piece" on canvas for everyone to see ... 😂

Have you ever been part of such fun? I have.

I think the level of the works is at the level of art school kids or students. But what was interesting was the canvas that others could paint on. You left room for others too. You drew a very large bird of freedom 🤣🤣 But I was busy with that for a few minutes and noticed how cool that SpongeBob was in the left corner. It crossed my mind who could go to an art exhibition and have SpongeBob in their mind with a lot of humor. 🤣🤣 This idea reminded me of years ago when I installed a very large cloth on the wall and invited children from several schools to come and paint freely and draw. It was a very happy feeling. That day the children were painting with their families. Of course, I had planned for this for several days. Thank you for going to the painting gallery as you promised yesterday and taking pictures of several works and introducing them to us...

The bird was there already, I can't take credit for that, only for the face :)

Yes, Sponge was there too and there were two faces that looked more professional than my masterpiece 😆 One is the lady's face and the other is on top center. I don't know who made those, but they are better than me 😂

Such initiative is welcomed, maybe differently organized, like during summer, in a public park, to protect the other artworks in the gallery. Find a few sponsors to pay for the supplies (canvas, paint, brushes etc.), then invite kids and people of all age to participate. It would be fun :)

Two artists sharing an exhibition titled Boundary-Lines sounds like a clever pairing, and that funny surprise story is a good teaser for the next post.

Ewww, your comment is really weird, most likely you haven't read the post.

I’m amazed by all the paintings—they’re so talented! But when it comes to yours, I actually laughed at the bird you made, because I can’t even tell where the bird is! HAHAHAHA lol 😆

Nooo, the bird is not my creation, that was already there. My masterpiece is the face 😎🤣

I enjoyed seeing the different artworks but the best part was your unexpected chance to paint in the gallery.😀 Art is not always about talent sometimes it is about expressing yourself and having fun.😆

Looks like the opportunity of painting is the most exciting for the majority of the readers. Imagine actually painting there, like I did 😆

Art is not always about talent sometimes it is about expressing yourself and having fun.😆

It should always be about expressing yourself and having fun! Otherwise it's work you don't like, right?

A small bee, a big thank-you — buzzing in to say THANK YOU for everything you do for Ecency — your translation work is the kind of quiet magic that lets honey flow between hives that never spoke the same buzz before. And 'Having Fun At The Gallery' is now officially on this bee's reading list for the next flower break! 📖🐝

This is weird and I don't know if it's accurate, but thanks.

That is really neat that they allow visitors to create their own art at the end of their tour of the exhibit. Think that was my favorite piece of all.

I think so too and loved it. It's a great initiative, but thinking about it at global level, you can only do this in small places where you kind of know the visitors.

Do you remember how many times crazy activists have destroyed or tried to destroy high value artworks with paint and God knows what materials? When you put these yourself at their disposal, you risk allowing visitors damaging the paintings. Not here though.

I’ve never seen anyone able to paint in a gallery before, so this has been a unique opportunity for you!!! Why not give it a go? Everyone has their own style, and you’ve got yours… I love your contribution to the painting!

But I must say that the painting Village is marvellous. At first glance, I saw hands, I don’t know why, clasped hands, and then I saw the village drawn in, and wow, it’s true, it’s fascinating!😍

It's a first for me as well, and would love to see this initiative more often, but there are safety concerns as well and it depends on the artist and the gallery, if they can take responsibility for letting paint and materials that could damage the artworks, unsupervised.

They’d need to specify two or three plays to do that, but it’s an original idea.

Hello my friend, the beauty of art lies in the way the viewer searches for the artist’s thoughts within its lines and colors; and sometimes, to understand the meaning of an artwork, one must think more deeply to grasp what the artist intended. This painting also presents a very interesting and at times humorous idea by placing the works of both skilled and novice artists side by side, creating a charming and engaging display.💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹

No, my dear friend; since English is not our language, we have to use artificial intelligence to translate in order to capture the precise meaning of the words.

No, you don't, no one is forcing you. There's no have to.

Artificial intelligence rewrites what you feed them and the final text is not what you wrote anymore. You can use Google translate, or other simple translator.
