Moments Of Life

Today I'd like to show you some photos of some amazing photos I took at the photo exhibition. Yeah, I know, "some photos of some amazing photos" 😂. That's what happens when you take photos of photos. And just to clarify it, the word amazing refers to the exhibited photos, not mine.

I have written about this exhibition here. The name of the exhibition was Where Silence Resides and as you can see on the photo, I think it's safe to say that that's where silence resides. I can stay there and enjoy the silence for hours.

This is a scene you see if you go to the countryside and visit the pastures. Horses, cows are grazing, if you're lucky, the sun is shining and it is quiet. Total tranquility, which you won't find on the busy streets of a bigger city.

Moments of life I'd say, but if you have a closer look, you'll see there's something to discuss here, at least that's what I think. The proportions to be precise. The photographer captured very little of the sky and more of the cliff the sheep are walking on. It's a bit odd, but interesting.

Reaper repairing his reap at the pasture. That's a tool of the past but it is still use today by those who don't have a big land or their land is not even. When I look at this photo, it reminds me of my grandfather's times, when running to the shop to buy a new one was not a thing. If something got broken, you repaired it. Besides, when you were at the pasture, you had to solve the problem the best way you could. Those were different times.

I've been to quite a few photo exhibition lately and looking back it occurred to me how many of the photos are moments of life, like this one for example, showing the hard life of the villagers. These people are working the land the old fashioned way and are most likely the last generation to do that. So in a way these photos are going to have historical value as well.

This is an epic one, even though you only see an old lady walking in the snow, towards an old house covered by snow. This is when you realize how lucky you are as you don't have to live in those conditions.

Every photo has a story to tell, you just have to open your eyes.

I was wondering if this is the same place as the on on the photo above, just taken in a different season.

Last time, when I took these photos, I tried something new to avoid reflection. The lights were not turned on and I thought why not try to take photos without lights on. I'm not impressed with the quality of photos as they are not sharp.

I liked this one, it was a smart decision to take the photo from that angle, but I could not stand in front of it because of the reflection. So my angle sucks.

I think this is my favorite of this batch. The yellowish grass and the blue sky, plus the haystack, the perfect setup. Not to mention the old lady, who at her age is still working hard to collect hay, which serves to feed the animals. There's no retirement age for them, they work till they can.

This is another familiar scene you see at the countryside, if you visit after the onion harvest. This is how onions are dried and stored for winter. These people are usually self-sufficient, so that's their food till the next harvest.

I love the one of the farmer with his scythe and the lady with the cow, there's something deep about them. Simpler but harder times maybe, I'm not sure.

That's a good one actually. I agree with simpler and harder. The stress we know today was non existent, but they had other problems for sure.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂.

I've got the sad feeling that there's nobody to follow in their footsteps. We're making the simple way of life impossible.

You may be right, unfortunately. Life has changed a lot and everyone is looking for and easy way.

Some photos within some photos are cool. the photos on display and the photos taken at photo exhibitions really represent our curiosity about a place we have never been to

My personal favorite in this exhibition is the second one. It symbolises simplicity of life in the country side.

Que bueno que explicaste esta frase jajaja ya pensaba que tenias muchisima confianza en tus fotos de las fotos 😂😂😂

Y solo para aclararlo, la palabra increíble se refiere a las fotos expuestas, no a las mías.
