More Memories On Canvas

As a continuation, today I'd like to show you the rest of the artworks I saw yesterday. If you missed the first part of this exhibition, you can check it out here -> Memories On Canvas.

Poppies

Most likely these poppies would win anyone's heart, regardless if the person is a flower lover, an art lover, or not. The painting may be a bit dark, but I love how the artist chose to make the center of the painting lighter and show the flowers from a lower point of view. Another thing that I appreciate is the ratio between the colors. There's no dominating color, so the ratio is perfect in my eyes.

This was a bit difficult for me as the paintings were in a corner, with a stove in the corner, so there was no space to take a decent photo and as you can see my wide angle camera, although it captured what it needed to, it made them a bit funny. However, you can see the two nice landscapes. On the left you have a dominant blue and green combination, which is very nice, but a bit dark for my taste. On the right, autumn colors, which I love.

Morning Lights

I see the color combination of this painting, similar to the previous one, but when I first looked at it, the first thing that came to my mind was twilight and sunset. I mean not the kitschy golden sunset that the internet is flooded with, but the moment of the day, when the daylight is on its way of disappearance. Although, the painting is great, it makes me sad.

Autumn Farm

This one was a surprise to be honest. It's not like the other artworks, which is not a bad thing as changing style is always welcome, but the colors are a fit far from my taste.

Snowy Hillside

If you've never seen snow in your life, you most likely can't see what others can see by looking at this photo. Snow is white, but when the light is right, it can get a bluish color and this painting is very lifelike. I hope we can get some snow soon and then I can show you some cool photos as well. It's raining right now, so no chance for snow so far.

There was a marble statue in the corner, that I could not avoid when taking the photo. Now it looks like it is guarding the painting.

Panet Yard

Panet is a small village in Mures county and most likely this is a real scene in the village. It can easily be as these wooden constructions are part of a village household in most of the country. Sorry for the bad light, but this painting was behind a door and I could not close that door.

Big And Small

Another scene from village life and one of my favorites too.

End of Summer

When the wheat ripens, the whole field becomes yellow and this is how it looks like. It's the happiest moment in every peasant's life. It means bread and it means life.

Roadside Trees

This painting, although it looks similar in color to the others, it's very different, due to the brush strokes. That was the first thing I noticed about it and I love it.

20221215_122659a.jpg

I had to take a close-up photo of the lower right corner as it looked very interesting. What can I say, I love it! The truth is, the texture of the canvas has some magical effect on my.

Summer

This seems to be the same style as the previous one, as far as the brush strokes are concerned but I prefer the previous one.

Winter Feeling

There were two paintings there, but in fact this is a series of 3 paintings. One was missing from the start and these two were already reserved. I can imagine all 3 in the same wall, next to each other. The bottom one is my favorite for the vivid colors.

For me, this exhibition was one of the best this year. It was not only a pleasure for the eye, but also a learning experience and an emotional journey. The next one will be a bit different for sure, but that doesn't mean it's not going to be good. My knowledge about art is minimal, but I'm not excluding anything, any style.

So, which one would you pick today?

Reminds me of a combination between Monet and Van Gogh. Not to detract from this artist at all...

But his work just feels so familiar even though I've never seen it before 💜
