Nature And Man Made

This thought is not new, it's been in my mind for a long time but somehow the daily rush is always in the way of it. I've been planning to improve my photography skills and evolve from just taking photos to taking more focused, professional looking photos :)

First I decided to focus more on black and white, which I did for awhile but I can't even remember when was my last B&W post.

Stairs

However, today I'd like to show you a photo that I have been keeping for this post. I've always loved stars, especially in black and white, but in this modern world, you don't find such beauties on every street corner. So imagine my joy when I saw these stairs at the The Bethlen-Haller castle. It's not exactly the geometrically perfect one, but it's still interesting. I took a shot from the top level and was hoping it will look as cool on the photo as I imagined it. I like it, but you're the one to decide if it's cool or not.

Pages

This may not be so spectacular, or maybe it's only for me. I wanted to focus on the edge of the pages, which was not an easy task as the book was under glass.

Boston Ivy

This is an abrupt change of subject, but as it's autumn, I'd like to capture every good moment and enjoy it till it lasts. So on my way to the farmers market a few days ago I saw these berries and took a photo. I still have no idea what kind of berries are these. It would be time to research it and learn more.

20220926_110552a.jpg

It's time for some amazing leaves. It seems it's Boston ivy, which is common here and if you can find a place, where there's a wall full of ivy, you can have part of a lovely scene. I know a few places, let's see if I'll be able to get there in time as time is of the essence here and mother nature is playing against me sometimes.

Horse Chestnuts

Finally, my favorites, horse chestnuts. This week I saw a few on the ground and was happy to take some photos, as I do every single year.

I'm still hoping to find some next week in a different place and do a proper photo shoot, as I would like it. Fingers crossed.

Chains

Chains are always interesting, but usually those are used for security reasons and taking photos of locks and chains can have serious consequences. Especially if there's a camera watching you. This was on the gate of a medieval structure, the gate was open, so I was safe.

I tried to play with the editor, but I'm not sure about the result. I need to do better.

So, this is a mix, a little bit of everything. Which one is your favorite? I would still choose the stairs.

Hi Erika you know I see your photos, and they are all wonderful, but I always allusino when I see the stairs in spiral form because I feel that they are the path that connects Heaven with Earth this I say this from my perspective and perception, and its steps are like the stages in life where wisdom, effort, changes, energy are like the goals when you climb the steps to reach the goals.

Thank you for sharing the Boston ivy is very beautiful, it is a good symbol of spiritual growth, its colors are as changeable as the determination in us human beings.

Have the best possible day @erikah

I've never thought of the stairs in that contest, but it could very well be sen like that. I like how you see more in my photos, not just what they are.

Have a nice weekend.

Beautiful photographic art, thank you for sharing such a creative moment; it is the artist's intention as you do to convey that feeling of the perceived. Thank you.

Have the best possible weekend @erikah

Your photography deserves an example for many people, I like everything you show.
I will also try to take some random pictures to make a photography post.

I'm far from being an example, but I take photos of what I like and then post is. Then there are people who like it and others don't, which is ok :)

The black and white added more spice to your version of the stairs. I just love stairing at it and together with the chain.

Gonna need that Boston Ivy around my house soon hehe. It's a good plant wherein it add more effect to the beauty of one place.

There's a lot more to capture there and I'm pretty sure that they will be good in white and black.😊

I like the first and last shots best. The stairs are cool because of the way you used the railing as the bottom of the frame. You did great on the framing and composition of that shot. I am impressed that your toes didn't make a special appearance! hahaha

This comment means a lot to me and I'm grateful for it. I'm trying to improve my skills and do better each time.

This is the original photo, which is not so good, but I was glad to be able to take it anyway, as when you are in a group of people, who don't care about photographing, your job becomes a nightmare. I needed to wait for them to go elsewhere and try to take the shot, which is not straight and there's a leg in it. So I tried to adjust it before posting, but I knew it has to be black and white in order to highlight the details. The railing also needed an adjustment and for my eyes, this was the best size.

You won't see my feet on any photos, unless it's intentional 😂 I am always careful of that as could ruin the photo.

Thank you again for the nice comment, it motivates me to do better 😍

The only thing i can see to correct in this original photo is to make the rail at the bottom level and plumb. Once you get that horizon line at the bottom... anchor the other lines to that one, perspective-wise. However, that is quite difficult since the level below is not plumb. So, that makes lining things up a bit more challenging. Great shots for real and i am glad you are encouraged and inspired... because i wasn't just buttering you up. Thanks for always going above and beyond! It's much appreciated!

Wow! Thank you so much for saying that. It really means a lot to me. I love to motivate and encourage people. When it's noticed is very gratifying. I have a post i made a long time ago that talks about what i mentioned. I think it has photo tips but don't hate me if i'm wrong. When you have time (which i'm surprised you ever have any 'free time') check it out if you like. I have a feeling you will appreciate it.

You fully deserve it and using your words, I'm not just buttering you 😂
I had a quick look as I could not resist the temptation, but the post you have suggested seems like pure gold already. I'm going to get back to you about it after I have time to read it properly. I can already see you're talking about what I'm struggling with. You have no idea how much it means to me to get these suggestions ❤️

So I had time to study your post and holy sh*t, you took the castle shot upside down! What are you? A magician? 😂 I can't take a straight shot standing and sober (not that I've ever been drunk) and you took that photo laying on the ground, on your back 😲

I think the universe sent you to me exactly when I needed help and I got it. Am I lucky to have you? Of course I am!

Again, thank you for spending time on helping me. You won't regret it, I promise 😍

I love to help and it's awesome that it's appreciated! Of course i won't regret it! It's been fun seeing many folks that i have helped improve their photographic skills. Usually, the skills are already there it's just a matter of polishing them and a little bit of refinement! I'm no profressional... but i do take it seriously, sometimes! hahhaah
