Random Photos

It's time for another mixed photo post as it's been ages since the last one. Over the past few months I've been collecting photos about scenes and things I saw interesting. My main focus has been on keeping the camera straight and also taking macro photos. The first one still needs practicing as what I see good at the scene turns out to be slanted once I get home and check it on the laptop. Macro is macro, you take several shots and pray that one or two will be ok. I'd say macro is not difficult for me, but occasionally I get some that are out of focus.

This scene is always fascinating me. Obviously the original is not black and white, I made it to be, to make the eye focus on the details. This bookshelf is in the open air, you can borrow books and also leave books on the shelves. It's a good idea but would be great to see people respect these copies more. This is already a trend, I keep seeing it in major cities.

My photo editor is playing pranks on me. The photo was not this dark when I edited it, but once uploaded on PeakD, seems darker. Let's see what it will look like after publishing the post.

Yeah, some really odd shots today, like this one for example. I took this photo at the beginning of the month, when one day was snowing. This beer can was left on the concrete ledge, covered by snow. It was left as you see it on the photo, I did not move it, but I found it interesting, I mean the setup.

This was another odd one. When I first saw it, my first thought was suicide. Don't ask me why as I'm not suicidal, have never been and I hope it stays that way. But when I saw this big rock, I thought of those movies in which people hang a big rock to their neck and jump in the water. Stupid, I know. Now you may ask what on earth this rock serves for and why it is chained to ... whatever it is chained to. Well, this rock is sitting on the sidewalk, stopping cars from being parked there.

Buds are now a thing and I hope to be in the near future, without freezing to death. It's time for nature to wake up. Enough with the gloomy days. I want buds, flowers and blue sky.

Feeding birds is forbidden here, but that does not stop anyone from doing it. This lady was very generous with the pigeons. I don't know what she was eating, most likely a croissant or something similar, but she was kind enough to share it with the birds.

Another one, but I think I like the previous one better.

This is a tree I'm photographing very often, but only during winter, when the leaves have already fallen off. The truth is, I had to make it black and white as it was overcast and without a blue sky, this was the only option. Looks better when the sky is blue though.

My wood obsession kicked in again and here it is, a nice piece. Nice in my eyes I mean as you most likely see something different than me.

20230126_110220a.jpg

Another obsession of mine is this narrowing view. I love it and anytime I have the occasion to take a photo of such view, I can't miss it.

And a last one, black and white stairs and the brick entrance to the fortress.

Well, I don't know about that, but thank you for the nice words. I'm trying my best, then I get what I get 🙂

I like to mix photos in a post as I find it more interesting.

What a nice idea, this is a great place for book lovers to borrow books and also donate their books. Which city is this? I doubt if this would work in my city...lol

Nice pictures. I think I would start posting in the community because I love take pictures.

You can find this initiative all over Europe. In some countries they use the old phone boxes that are not in use anymore. In parks there are bookshelfs protected by glass. It's a good thing.

A collection of random photos as a content? Wow! This give me another idea. Actually I have taken pictures of a single thing in different days and found out that everyday is different.

I am thinking to post it but afraid that people will think it is non sense. But thanks for this inspiration. Might be I would start to take pictures randomly.

A collection of random photos as a content?

Why not? Otherwise how else can we post these individual photos? Life is made of single moments, so why can we post these moments individually?

Looking forward to seeing your post 🙂

Oh I am really inspired with it. In fact I am starting making my draft. Hopefully I can post it today or tomorrow.

one of which I focused on a drink called Heineken which of course doesn't need to be mixed with S again because it's already cold

Yes, the can was cold as it was sitting in the snow.

You didn't ask for my favorite, but my favorite is the first photo. It looks really impressive. It's good to have places like this. You can go and buy a book and bring it back after a day or two or you can read there. Sounds good.

Since you vanished, I don't really ask the question anymore. But good thing you have resurfaced. Your pick is a good one. I love that one too. May go back to take more photos.

How's things?

What I went through really affected me badly. I'm still recovering from it. I've never felt like this before. I need to get back to my life though. I'm doing my best to do that.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Step by step, don't torture yourself. I hope you get better soon.
