It is an art indeed, a special art and you need more talent I think as you're working with a highly fragile raw material.
Oh no! There's no such thing as giving up on Easter eggs. You can buy some when you're traveling, to have at Easter as those are not expiring soon. Plus you can use onion peels, like me. It's easy, ecological, healthy and nice.

When my son was smaller we used to decorate them, using onion peel as colour and with little flowers and grass as decorative details. :)
