MUSICAL MEMORIES

Good memories are beautiful, they are even more beautiful when accompanied by music. I have got so many memory to shear with reference to my stay in Benue State Nigeria, but this one is probably the most amazing. It is not just a memory, it is fun, communal and most importantly, musical.

I am a catholic by birth, that explains why I found it really important to join the National Association of Catholic Corp members during my NYSC service year. For personal reasons I never fancied living in the family house, I preferred visiting once in a while. Nonso my very good is always anticipating to see me, he is highly musically inclined but for some reasons he loves to shear his music with me, he always desire to hear my opinion. I have had so many musical time with him but this was probably the only documented one.

It was on a Sunday evening, I visited for the sent of the batch B corp members. It was a full house since every member of the association have to come to the family house for the celebration. Sir wisdom was very instrumental on that very day, having brought his guitar around he made our day really amazing. We were all siting in front of the house watching Sir Wisdom play along with his guitar. At first nobody payed attention to the sound of the guitar. It all began with Nonso making jokes about how sweet Benedicta's noodle could be, before we realize the joke became musical. Nonso accompanied with Wisdom's guitar used the phrase "Benedicta I need your noodles in my life" to create an amazing melody. Though it was a freestyle but is was really amazing. Realizing what was going on I brought out my phone to immediately capture the moment, it was really amazing, raw and beautiful.

Since I was the one making the video, I never had the opportunity to appear in it. That not withstanding, I was never left out, I was a part of every bit of it. As I made the video, I accompanied Nonso with a mild backup. After the "Benedicta I need some noodles in my life" thing, we had more fun and made few other music video. The only problem is that I have lost most of the videos to the fact that I do not have enough space on my device.
