MY DAYS IN EMMA CHUKAS GLOBAL VENTURES

Hello guys. It's me @ernesto6402, and I am happy to be a part of this week's TBT once again. This week I will be taking us back to 2022, my first work experience. Though it was really stressful working for "Emma Chukas Global Ventures", but it was at the same time an amazing experience. The presence of my wonderful colleagues made every moment I spent in the company a memorable one.

It was a motorcycle spare parts sales company. At first, I worked as a sales rep in our head office along side my colleagues Mary, Micheal, Edidiong (cashier), John (my manager), Ifeanyi (the store manager) and Kingsley who latter joined us. After working for about two years, the company needed a marketer. That is how I left the office into the field. It was not an easy job though, but it was an extra pay. I have missed my colleagues ever since, but one have to move on with life. By January 2024, there was need for me to travel to Benue State, that was how I complete left the company.

We were like a family, we played together, eat together and carry each others burden like it was that of each and everyone of us. We had a black sheep though; Ifeanyi the store manager. Due to his mood swing issues, Ifeanyi would always find a way to separate himself from the group, but then he was calm and tender inside, he was probably the most tender among us.

Mary was probably my best friend as at that time, we were so close that some thought we were dating. She was also an old friend, I have known her family for quite a while before meeting her in Emma Chukas... Another old friend of mine was Micheal. Micheal was in fact my childhood friend, I had to recomned his to the management when we once needed a sales rep; and the management deemed him fit after his interview. I am micheal go far back to went we attended Block-rosary prayers together, we even served as altar servers in the same Parish. Having him around once again was like reuniting with an old friend after a long period of time. But unfortunately, I have lost him again. Edidiong (the cashier) was probably the most lively among us, she can talk for Africa, but yet she is a very recollected lady. Recollected enough to handle the whole fund that come in and out of Emma Chukas.

John was the manager of the company, and he was probably the most amazing of all my college. I called him "my manager", but beyond being my manager, he was a good friend. Though he was the manager, but he was more like a friend than a boss. Ifeanyi (the black sheep) on the hand only vibes with us occasionally, but deep inside he is good to a fault. I just think he is dealing with some emotional trauma that he has refused to let out.

Enough about I and my friends, Let me brief you a little bit about our boss Emmanuel Agbasi (The companies CEO). My boss is a major dealer [on spare parts] and an importer too, he is also a friend to my family and quite a good man too. I worked as sales person (and then a marketer) in his head-office which was located in Igwuruta Port Harcourt. Apart from his head-office, two other branches of his are located in Omuku and Nnewi. Port Harcourt branch [which was also his head-office] is the biggest mechanic spare part sales company in the whole of Port Harcourt. The head office was so busy that it generates about 8 million naria worth of cash everyday (about 5,700 dollars) Excluding bank transfers.

The pictures I have from Emma Chukas as only that of me, Mary and Edidiong, and thos are the ones I made available. Thank you for reading up till the end, One love...

It seems that more than work colleagues, they became family. Thank you for sharing such fond memories in the community, in your faces we can see that it was a special season for all of you and I'm glad you enjoyed it, I think you left an indelible mark in the minds and hearts of these people, and no wonder, with the little I see of you I can already feel that your charisma is immense. Thank you for being part of #tbt Thursdays.

You are absolutely right @jesuslnrs. Even as we are no longer together, our bond is still there. We still communicate with each other, we even have a group [on WhatsApp].
