I'd Rather Work For Family Than Someone Else

avatar

Growing up I've always worked alongside my family or worked for my family. The majority of my work history is primarily working for my family's businesses. Sure, I've worked at Wendy's, and I've also spent some time at H&R Block, but I've always preferred working for the family.

I've spent many years in the construction field working for my father. Other times, I would do some minor jobs for cash for some family members. Working for family, to me, is always a priority compared to working for someone else. If I know I am doing something for my family, I put more effort into the job I am doing.

When I work for other people I don't really care about the job that I am doing. It's not that I don't want to care, it's just that I know I am benefitting someone else at my expense and it's not going to directly benefit my family. Is it selfish? Maybe, but I will always prefer to do something for my family.

I would much rather build up my family, and provide great service to my family because I know my family will be there for me when things get tough, unlike working as an entry-level employee for major corporations. Would you do the same?

I honestly don't know what is best, or even if the answer is always the same. Sometimes working for someone else is the only way to aquire some skills that can then be used to work in the family business, and sometimes someone who isn't family is simply the right person for a job.

Well, that's your opinion.
I like working for someone else.
But it's good when a family member work for me, I don't usually keep the person for long though.
I will still send you out to work for someone else, so you get the experience and not take things for granted.

Family indeed is the key. A work for them always comes with an inner sense of satisfaction.

Prioritizing the family should always be the priority.

Working for the family is the best thing to do, it is not selfish, a united family working together will always have a better future than a disunited family, I congratulate you for your decision.

Keeping our family and tribe a priority is logical, practical, and mutually beneficial, so I completely understand! Family first! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 😁🙏💚✨🤙
