When You Start. They Should Ignore You.

People often want you to start new or start from scratch, but they don't want you to be where they have reached in their own lives. In that case it's always a good thing that people ignore you and not pay attention to your initial progress.

Take an example of Hive, if the people at the top start to notice us who are not even Minnow, they would attack our every paragraph that is being written. And the people who have more power on Hive than us would not want us to succeed. So it's always a good idea that we should remain small and unnoticed as long as we are small fish.

You are starting something that would require much patience, and the people at the top should not be looking at you as very few of them would appreciate you climbing the ladder.

Now, this may seem like the "us vs them" narrative. But in real life that is pretty much true on most social networks or anything in real life that requires clout. You would always want to start small and focus on each step of the journey so much so that people at the top cannot throw you off the base.

Only the people who want you to progress should notice you when you are starting. People who want to retain their own chair in the clouds are not meant to look at you or get to attack you. Again I could be wrong, people at the top could be good and want us to be there. But we often have to prove to them that we are worth that top position.

How could this be bad for the new person? People should understand that new people require patience and guidance. And people at the top had enough patience yet they don't want to go through churn. Again not all people would be like that. But majority of people who reach top don't bother about churning same routine that could lead to having patience towards new people.

In that position, if you meet people like that they are most likely to keep you away from your goals. And also they would be making it harder for you to reach your goal. Sometimes, this can lead to bad situations, and people end up having arguments. So there is always a struggle.

What do you think, have you made a start without having any clashes with the people around?

As a person in the middle i want to see every person succeed that puts in the time and effort to grow.
I wouldn't attack anybody and would only ever downvote spam or abuse.

Hive is a community and the more that we have the better. It might mean less rewards but it will also cause hive to grow and become more valuable in the long run.

I started form zero and know well how hard it can be to get started.

I had some negative (downvote) attention with my other account when I was starting out on Steem. I didn't get that as much on Hive, but I have certainly seen some people have useful content demonetized because they clashed with someone at the top.

It didn't really affect me personally, because I have no use for the financial rewards on this platform. To me, a downvote is still a vote. I came here to be free to post what I want, without turning over all the rights to my intellectual property and having my work used to grow wealth for others. Everything I 'earn' is powered up.

I've been able to build a small following, and no longer get any auto-downvotes, just by being consistent with my posting. There seems to be an audience for just about everyone here, you just have to find them.

I faced that, I had stalking on my hive account, noisecash account. I also faced that only because the person was forcing me to admit only bitcoin is good and later started downvoting with 1 USD worth of downvote on each of my post, it was horrible time to post here at that time.

I also went through recent OCD new recruits downvoting my posts, just because they wanted to flex their powers, no reasons given. I have decided to stick with leofinance and proof of brain communities and trying to keep low profile. I found hive having more hostile people than steem but even saying that would get me negative attention.

Surprisingly despite that quality control on hive with mob doing downvote rounds HBD is 1 USD and SBD is 6 USD. Ha. Sometimes not speaking truth and staying low is what one should do IMO. I am trying to stay low as much as possible.

Was this person someone by the name Cesk or something similar? As I had someone trolling in one of my posts. And found him later at noise.cash.

I believe when users are downvoted heavily at Hive there is always a good reason for this.

I'm not sure if I received a downvote at Hive, I will have to check this, but I understand it when my posts are ignored, there is simply too much competition and I'm glad I have a few people following and reading my content. Sometimes we get the attention of curators, other times we don't.

But I am certain those that dedicate their time to Hive, get respect and deserve attention. I wish I have more time to spend at Hive since I have had an awesome time so far.

Not necessary in my case. I had to go through a lot to get high reputation people off my tail from downvoting my post. If you read their reasoning on why then you'd realize why I wrote this post.
