En Lakrearte siempre buscamos realizar actividades innovadoras, que llame la atención del público en general. Estas siempre las desarrollamos mi esposo y yo, para luego llevarlas a cabo.
Hace un tiempo a él se le ocurrió la idea de hacer un taller a la orilla del lago, que nos queda súper cerca del local. Al principio me pareció una idea súper loca, pero luego le di el beneficio de la duda y fue cuando me animé a caminar por el boulevard para encontrar un sitio donde se pudiera hacer el taller.
La primera vez fue el año pasado y aunque no tuvimos la receptividad esperada, esto me permitió estudiar mucho mejor la idea y poder aprender del proceso.
Pasaron los meses y no lo volví a intentar por diversos factores, el principal era que nos estábamos adaptando a nuestro nuevo espacio y fueron meses un poco complicados.
Pero este año decidí volverlo a hacer, esta vez en un nuevo lugar pues donde lo habíamos hecho la vez anterior, ahora era ocupado por un restaurante y no era conveniente hacerlo ahí.

At Lakrearte, we're always looking to do innovative activities that will capture the attention of the general public. My husband and I always develop these ideas and then carry them out.
A while ago, he came up with the idea of holding a workshop by the lake, which is super close to our shop. At first, I thought it was a crazy idea, but then I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and that's when I decided to walk along the boulevard to find a place where we could hold the workshop.
The first time was last year, and although we didn't get the response we'd hoped for, it allowed me to study the idea much better and learn from the process.
Months passed, and I didn't try again for various reasons, the main one being that we were adjusting to our new space, and those were some complicated months.
But this year I decided to do it again, this time in a new place because where we had done it the previous time was now occupied by a restaurant and it was not convenient to do it there.
Así que me tomé la tarea un día antes de dar clases de ir a buscar este sitio. El sol estaba bastante fuerte, pero la idea era esa, hacerlo en un ahora similar a la que estaríamos convocando a las personas.
Había que caminar un tramo más o menos, pero aproveché la caminada para documentar estos sitios que han estado abandonados por mucho tiempo en la ciudad. Se trata del centro cívico, que queda cerca el terminal de pasajeros.
Hace mucho tiempo eran muy visitados por las personas por sus buenos precios, pero en la actualidad no hay muchas personas que lo visiten y tampoco están las ofertas que se encontraban antes debido a todos los problemas de inflación que vivimos.
Los negocios fueron quebrando poco a poco y cerrando sus puertas y así este mercado quedó cada vez más solo.

It was a bit of a walk, but I used the time to document these places that have been abandoned for a long time in the city. It's the civic center, located near the bus terminal.
A long time ago, it was very popular because of its good prices, but nowadays, not many people visit, and the deals that used to be there are gone due to all the inflation problems we're experiencing.
Businesses gradually went out of business and closed their doors, and this market became increasingly deserted.

Acá funcionan tanto la oficina de registro de la ciudad y también la alcaldía, lo que mantiene el espacio con vida.
It's truly impressive to see how this place has almost fallen into ruin, yet at the same time refuses to die, as many people continue to invest in their businesses and in this space. Both the city registry office and the mayor's office operate here, which keeps the place alive.
Y luego de unos minutos de caminata por fin llegué al sitio. Eran alrededor de las 2 pm y la verdad estaba bien agradable el espacio.
Luego de descansar y estudiar a detalle la zona donde me había sentado, comencé a plantearme las zonas donde podía hacerse la actividad.
Había mucha sombra y brisa, pero había que tomar en cuenta que el sol iba a caer con el pasar de las horas y esto era importante porque podía resultar incomodo para los participantes.
And after a few minutes' walk, I finally arrived at the site. It was around 2 pm, and the space was quite pleasant.
After resting and carefully studying the area where I had settled, I began to consider the areas where the activity could take place.
There was plenty of shade and a breeze, but it was important to keep in mind that the sun would be setting as the hours passed, and this was crucial because it could be uncomfortable for the participants.
Caminé por todo el sitio buscando diferentes opciones en caso que tocara cambiar el plan original, pues al ser un sitio público, habían cosas que a lo mejor no podría controlar, como que llegaran personas antes a hacer otra cosa.
I walked all over the place looking for different options in case I had to change the original plan, because being a public place, there were things that I might not be able to control, like people arriving earlier to do something else.
Aproveché también el tomar algunas fotos para poder promocionar la actividad luego y ya con todo este trabajo hecho estaba lista para dar inicio a este taller.
Me emocionó mucho la idea pues sabía que sería todo un éxito. En un próximo post les contaré que tal nos fue en este taller, al que le dimos como nombre "Marea Creativa". ♥
