¡Hola Chicos!
Mi esposo y yo adoramos las plantas y
siempre estamos buscando nuevas para incluirlas en nuestro jardín y en el interior de nuestro hogar. Yo desde hace bastante tiempo había querido una de "lengua de suegra", y aunque se escucha un poco loco su nombre, la verdad es que esta planta aporta un sin fin de beneficios, inclusive para la salud de nuestro cuerpo.
Es una planta que purifica el aire, pues absorbe cualquier partícula tóxica que pueda estar rondando por nuestra casa y además también absorbe el calor. Si, este es el principal motivo por el que deseaba con todas mis fuerzas una. Mi casa es sumamente caliente y necesitamos un poco de ayuda con eso.
Por supuesto que esta planta apenas cuenta con una hoja, pero sé que pronto comenzará a crecer y ya luego colocaré otras por toda la casa.
Estuve mucho tiempo buscando y pidiendo a las personas tenían de estas en su casa que me regalaran un "hijito" pero nadie me terminaba de dar una. 😞
¡Hasta que por fin!. Hace dos días fuimos de visita a la hacienda de la abuela de mi esposo. Ella tiene un montón de plantas en su jardín y se me ocurrió preguntarle si tenía para que me regalara una.
Casualmente, una sobrina de ella le había regalado varias hojitas con sus raíces. Tomó una y me la regaló. Me vine super feliz a casa con mi espada 😂♥.
Pero... ¿Dónde la voy a sembrar? 🤔 Me acordé de un vaso de poliestireno donde le habían traído unos dulces a mi hijo y es entonces cuando comienza esta publicación.
Transformaremos ese vaso de poliestireno en una maceta para mi planta de "Lengua de Suegra". Así que...

My husband and I love plants and
we are always looking for new ones to include in our garden and inside our home. For quite some time I had wanted a 'mother-in-law's tongue', and although its name sounds a bit crazy, the truth is that this plant provides endless benefits, including for the health of our body.
It is a plant that purifies the air, as it absorbs any toxic particles that may be around our house and also absorbs heat. Yes, this is the main reason why I wanted one with all my might. My house is extremely hot and we need a little help with that.
Of course, this plant barely has a single leaf, but I know that it will start to grow soon, and then I will place others around the house.
I spent a lot of time searching and asking people who had one of these at home to give me a 'little son' but no one would finish giving me one. 😞
Until finally!. Two days ago we went to visit my husband's grandmother's farm. She has a lot of plants in her garden and it occurred to me to ask her if she had one of hers for me.
Coincidentally, a niece of hers had given her several little leaves with her roots. She took one and gave it to me. I came home super happy with my sword 😂♥.
But... Where am I going to plant it? 🤔 I remembered an anime glass where my son had been brought some sweets and that's when this post begins.
We'll transform that anime glass into a pot for my 'Mother-In-Law's Tongue' plant. So...

Organizamos todos los materiales necesarios y lavamos muy bien el vaso de poliestireno que usaremos.
Me gusta mucho su forma porque esa pequeña pestaña en la parte superior se asemeja mucho a la maceta.
We organize all the necessary materials and wash the polystyrene cup that we will use very well.
I really like the shape of it because that little tab at the top looks a lot like the pot.
En una taza pequeña vamos a hacer pintura de color terracota (en caso de no contar con ella). Debemos mezclar color amarillo y rojo para lograr un naranja fuerte y luego con una gotita de negro obtenemos este resultado.
La pintura la aplicaremos con una esponja.
In a small cup we are going to make terracotta-colored paint (in case we don't have it). We must mix yellow and red to achieve a strong orange and then with a drop of black we obtain this result.
We will apply the paint with a sponge.
Lo bueno de pintar con esponja es que no quedaran esas marcas de pincelada y le da ese toque rústico que necesitamos para simular la arcilla.
Aplicamos dos capas y dejamos secar bien. Recuerda fijarte si el vaso tiene algún agujero y cubrirlo muy bien.
The good thing about painting with a sponge is that there won't be those brush stroke marks and it gives it that rustic touch that we need to simulate clay.
Apply two layers and let dry well. Remember to check if the glass has any holes and cover it very well.
Un detalle que me faltaba comentarles es que también debes pintar el interior del vaso. Esto puedes hacerlo hasta la mitad pues ira cubierta de tierra y basta con tapar solo esta area que quedará expuesta.
Ahora pintaremos el diseño de la maceta. Yo quise hacer unas flores abstractas, para ello pinté bases en colores amarillo, salmón y rosa vieja.
Luego hice un poco de verde para dar hacer hojitas por toda la maceta, y por último con pintura blanca hice la silueta de las flores y agregué algunos detalles por aquí y por allá.
Aderé el resultado ♥. Solo resta colocar la planta.
One detail that I needed to tell you about is that you should also paint the inside of the glass. You can do this halfway because it will be covered with earth and it is enough to cover only this area that will be exposed.
Now we will paint the design of the pot. I wanted to make some abstract flowers, for this I painted bases in yellow, salmon and old rose colors.
Then I made a little green to make leaves all over the pot, and finally with white paint I made the silhouette of the flowers and added some details here and there.
I will add the result ♥. It only remains to place the plant.
Para que la planta pueda respirar y no se haga moho en el interior de la maceta, haremos agujeros en la base con algun objeto punteagudo de metal, que calentaremos a fuego directo y luego con un poco de presión lograremos este resultado.

Colocamos un poco de abono en el interior, introducimos la planta y tapamos con más abono.
Asegurate que la planta quede firme en el interior.

¡Listo! Ya tenemos la planta lista para ser colocada en su lugar. Lo bueno de esta es que no es necesario estarla regando a cada rato. Con solo hacerlo 1 o 2 veces al mes basta.
