Mi primera clase de dibujo y pintura || My first drawing and painting class ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
Ayer fue el primer día que dicté clases en dibujo y pintura y no se imaginan el nivel de satisfacción y felicidad que tuve luego de terminar. Luego de tanto días trabajando en eso y noches de desvelo se lograron los objetivos.
Pero vayamos por el comienzo. Como les comenté en el post anterior, en la mañana me fui al curso de panadería, llegué a la casa a la 1 de la tarde. Le pedí el favor a mi hijo que adelantara lo del almuerzo y al llegar toco esperar un poco más porque faltaba uno de los acompañantes por cocinarse.
Yo comí y comenzó a salir todo ese cansancio que venía desde la mañana. Me provocaba dormir pero aún debía pegar y recortar los pequeños cuadros que iba a llevar para la explicación y una de las actividades.
Así que me bañé y trabajé en ello. Las clases comenzaban a las 4 pero debía estar antes en la academia. Afortunadamente queda a tan solo dos cuadras de casa y no era necesario irme con mucho tiempo de anticipación.

Yesterday was the first day I taught drawing and painting classes and you can't imagine the level of satisfaction and happiness I had after finishing. After so many days working on it and sleepless nights the goals were achieved.
But let's start at the beginning. As I told you in the previous post, in the morning I went to the bakery course, I arrived home at 1pm. I asked my son to bring lunch forward and when I arrived I had to wait a bit longer because one of the other people had not cooked yet.
I ate and all the tiredness that had been there since the morning started to come out. It made me sleep but I still had to glue and cut out the little pictures that I was going to bring for the explanation and one of the activities.
So I took a bath and worked on it. Classes started at 4 o'clock but I had to be at the academy earlier. Fortunately it was only two blocks from home and I didn't need to leave too much time in advance.
Salí de casa y como yo tenía la llave de la academia aproveché de irme antes de la hora para preparar todo.
Escribí algunos puntos importantes de la clase en una pequeña pizarra acrílica con la que contamos. También aproveché el tiempo para repasar la información que les iba a explicar.
A los pocos minutos llegó la primera de las niñas. Ella me dijo que había llevado un dibujo y yo le dije que lo coloreara mientras llegaba el resto de los niños.
Para la clase llevé a mi hijo, él me va a estar acompañando pues quiero que aprenda al igual que los otros niños pues tiene un gran talento para dibujar. Ellos se sentaron tranquilitos en un rincón de la sala.
I left the house and as I had the key to the academy I took the opportunity to leave early to prepare everything.
I wrote some important points of the class on a small acrylic board that we had. I also took advantage of the time to go over the information I was going to explain.
A few minutes later, the first girl arrived. She told me that she had brought a drawing and I told her to colour it in while the rest of the children arrived.
For the class I took my son, he will be accompanying me because I want him to learn as well as the other children because he has a great talent for drawing. They sat quietly in a corner of the room.
Al principio de la clase mi compañera le hizo entrega a una de las alumnas un certificado por haber aprobado el nivel introductorio de dibujo y pintura. Ella estaba muy contenta con su reconocimiento.
At the beginning of the class my colleague presented one of the students with a certificate for having passed the introductory level of drawing and painting. She was very happy with her recognition.
Al llegar no me sentí nerviosa porque el cansancio que tenía no me dejaba pensar en esas cosas la verdad. Pero una vez comenzaron a llegar lo niños yo me desperté y saqué fuerzas para darles la clase. De dónde, no sé, pero lo importante es que no tenia cara de sueño y no me sentía así.
Comencé a hablar y si sentí que me trabé un poco por el temor a equivocarme, pero poco a poco comencé a soltarme. El tema era súper aburrido para ellos, pues la historia del arte no es un tema para divertirse sino que debe ser tratado con su debido respeto.
Traté de ser lo más breve posible para no cansarlos con tanta teoría y ellos al comenzar a ver los cuadros más actuales como la mona lisa se notaron más interesados.
When I arrived I didn't feel nervous because I wasn't really tired enough to think about such things. But once the children started to arrive, I woke up and I found the strength to give them the class. From where, I don't know, but the important thing is that I didn't look sleepy and I didn't feel like that.
I started to speak and I did feel that I got a bit stuck for fear of making a mistake, but little by little I started to loosen up. The subject was super boring for them, because art history is not a subject to have fun with but should be treated with due respect.
I tried to be as brief as possible so as not to tire them with so much theory, and when they started to see the more contemporary paintings like the mona lisa, they became more interested.
Para la primera actividad les tenía preparado algo especial. Hace días cuando fui a la tienda a comprar cositas para la casa, pedí que me regalaran un empaque de alimentos que es de papel craft pero grueso. Ese es el que protege los paquetes de harina pan (quienes son de Venezuela sabrán cual es).
Yo había cortado hojas rectangulares y las había puesto a aplanar entre varios libros pues estaban algo arrugadas. Cuando buscaba ideas en internet para las actividades de la clase me encontré con este lindo proyecto y me pareció genial porque yo tenía ya listas las hojas con este material, pues pensaba usarlas para unos proyectos personales.
La actividad constaba de lo siguiente: Cada uno de los niños tendría una hoja y en ella iba a plasmar su mano, ¿cómo? pues echándoles pintura en la palma y luego ellos haciendo una leve presión sobre el papel la dejarían marcada.
A los niños les encanta ensuciarse y más si es con pintura, así que me pareció genial para ellos. Estaban muertos de la risa y se divirtieron mucho al hacerlo. Ya luego con creyón debían dibujar figuras como las de dibujos rupestres para completar su obra. Estaban bien felices tratando de imitar las formas que veían en la imagen de referencia que les llevé.
For the first activity I had prepared something special for you. A few days ago when I went to the shop to buy things for the house, I asked for a gift of a thick craft paper food packaging. That is the one that protects the packets of bread flour (those of you from Venezuela will know which one it is).
I had cut rectangular sheets and flattened them between several books as they were a bit wrinkled. When I was looking for ideas on the internet for class activities I came across this nice project and I thought it was great because I already had the sheets ready with this material, as I was planning to use them for some personal projects.
The activity consisted of the following: Each one of the children would have a sheet of paper and on it they were going to draw their hand, how? Well, by pouring paint on the palm of their hand and then by pressing lightly on the paper they would mark it.
Children love to get dirty and even more so if it's with paint, so I thought it was great for them. They were laughing their heads off and had a lot of fun doing it. Then with crayon they had to draw figures like cave drawings to complete their work. They were very happy trying to imitate the shapes they saw in the reference image I brought them.
Su nivel de felicidad al tener listas sus obra se notaba en sus caritas. Todos estaban bien orgullosos de lo que habían logrado.
Hay una de las niñas pequeñas que tiene una hermana mayor que siempre la acompaña en las clases.
Ella siempre se queda observando pero siempre se involucraba en los dibujos de su hermana. Así que esta vez decidí invitarla a participar en la clase.
Ella estaba bien emocionada y yo la verdad me puse bien contenta al notar que prestó atención a todo lo de la clase. Se esmeró mucho con sus obras.
Their level of happiness at having their work ready was evident in their little faces. They were all very proud of what they had achieved.
One of the little girls has an older sister who always accompanies her to class.
She is always watching but she always got involved in her sister's drawings. So this time I decided to invite her to join the class.
She was very excited and I was really happy to see that she paid attention to everything in the class. She put a lot of effort into her work.
Para la segunda actividad iba a evaluar que tal estaban en el dibujo, así que les asigné una obra de las que llevé y ellos debían replicarla.
Acá fue cuando ellos sintieron un poco de tensión pues comenzaron a cuestionarse y a decir cosas como "yo no se hacerlo", "me queda feo", no se dibujar".
Yo por supuesto no permití que ellos fueran más allá y fui orientando a uno por uno para que lograran el resultado ideal.
Solo las dos hermanas lograron terminar sus dibujos en el tiempo establecido, el resto se lo llevó como tarea para la casa y ya para la próxima clases lo llevarán listo y coloreado.
For the second activity I was going to evaluate how good they were at drawing, so I assigned them one of the works I had brought and they had to replicate it.
This was when they felt a bit of tension as they began to question themselves and say things like "I don't know how to do it", "it looks ugly", "I don't know how to draw".
I of course didn't let them go any further and guided them one by one to achieve the ideal result.
Only the two sisters managed to finish their drawings in the established time, the rest took it home as homework and for the next class they will bring it ready and coloured.
Siento que fue un excelente comienzo, a todos los niños los sentí bien emocionados con la clase y a gusto conmigo, que era una de las cosas más importantes que quería lograr. Sé que poco a poco lograré orientarlos y convertirlos en grandes artistas. ♥
Estoy agradecida con la vida por brindarme esta gran oportunidad, la de enseñar y dar clases de un tema que me apasiona, que es mi campo.
Ya las próximas clases se que las tomaré con más calma y que todo irá de maravilla. Ha sido un excelente comienzo y para mi es maravilloso contar con la compañía de mi hijo en este proceso ♥.
I feel it was an excellent start, all the children were very excited about the class and felt comfortable with me, which was one of the most important things I wanted to achieve. I know that little by little I will be able to guide them and turn them into great artists. ♥
I am grateful to life for giving me this great opportunity to teach and give classes on a subject that I am passionate about, which is my field.
I know that I will take the next classes more calmly and that everything will go smoothly. It has been an excellent start and for me it is wonderful to have my son's company in this process ♥.
