Nuestra primera Marea Creativa (Parte II) || Our first Creative Tide (Part II) ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
Hoy continuaré contándoles lo que fueron nuestros dos primeros talleres de Marea Creativa, a la orilla del lago.
Esta fue una idea que tuvo mi esposo hace un tiempo y que luego de estudiarla por algunas semanas, la llevamos a cabo. Colocamos dos fechas para dar facilidad a las personas que se inscribieron, ya que nuestra fecha inicial tuvo que ser postergada por los terremotos ocurridos en la Guaira.
El día martes de esa misma semana había sido el primer taller, que me permitió aprender del proceso y así saber cual sería la mejor manera de llevar a cabo este tipo de actividad.
La participación iba a ser mucho más grande que la vez anterior, así que nos preparamos para eso mi hijo y yo.

Today I'll continue telling you about our first two Marea Creativa workshops, held by the lake.
This was an idea my husband had a while ago, and after studying it for a few weeks, we put it into action. We scheduled two dates to make it easier for those who signed up, since our initial date had to be postponed due to the earthquakes in La Guaira.
The first workshop was held on Tuesday of that same week, which allowed me to learn about the process and figure out the best way to conduct this type of activity.
Participation was going to be much higher than the last time, so my son and I prepared accordingly.
Era un viernes y no me tocaba dar clases. Salimos de casa al medio día y nos fuimos hasta el local para buscar todo lo necesario y desde allá ir a nuestro destino.
Cuando llegamos nos incomodamos un poco porque habían dos señores durmiendo en unas hamacas, y justo estaban ubicados detrás de donde nos colocamos la vez anterior.
Mi hijo me sugirió que nos moviéramos de sitio, pero ya nosotros teníamos programada la actividad y bueno, al ser un espacio público, estas cosas es imposible controlarlas. Así que le dije que nos instaláramos de igual forma.
Al rato se despertaron y uno de ellos sitió curiosidad por la actividad. Incluso me preguntó que si habían cupos como para buscar a su hijo para que participara. Al final no llevó al pequeño, pero es chévere saber que las personas están dispuestas a integrar a sus pequeños en actividades de arte.
It was a Friday, and I didn't have classes scheduled. We left home at noon and went to the venue to get everything we needed before heading to our destination.
When we arrived, we were a little bothered because there were two men sleeping in hammocks, right behind where we had set up the last time.
My son suggested we move, but we already had the activity planned, and since it's a public space, it's impossible to control these things. So I told him we should set up anyway.
After a while, they woke up, and one of them was curious about the activity. He even asked if there were any openings so he could bring his son to participate. In the end, he didn't bring his little one, but it's great to know that people are willing to include their children in art activities.
Al pasar los minutos llegaron los participantes y les fui dando a cada uno sus lienzos y todo lo necesario para que iniciaran con la pintada.
As the minutes passed, the participants arrived and I gave each of them their canvases and everything they needed to start painting.
Cada quien era libre de elegir el sitio donde querían pintar, y así pasamos una tarde bien agradable con mucha brisa, lo que hizo el ambiente mucho más ameno para todos.
Everyone was free to choose the place where they wanted to paint, and so we spent a very pleasant afternoon with a lot of breeze, which made the atmosphere much more enjoyable for everyone.
Todos se lucieron con sus obras y les quedaron bien chéveres. Yo estuve en todo momento pendiente de sus procesos y dando las respectivas sugerencias para que pudieran lograr ese resultado tan genial.
Así terminó esa semana de arte a la orilla del lago con éxito. En definitiva una actividad que vamos a repetir pronto porque gustó bastante tanto a los participantes, como a nosotros el hacerla. ♥
Everyone did a fantastic job with their artwork, and it turned out really cool. I was there every step of the way, guiding them through the process and offering suggestions to help them achieve such amazing results.
And so, that week of art by the lake came to a successful close. It's definitely an activity we'll be repeating soon because both the participants and we enjoyed organizing it so much. ♥
