Our delicious food on Valentine's Day ♥ [En|Es]

For special dates at home we are used to eating delicious food to celebrate. Although my husband and I are not a fan of celebrating commercial dates, since last year we wanted to include this day as part of our celebrations because it is a perfect excuse to celebrate our love and do something cool at home.

We didn't have an extensive budget to make a super meal as we had planned, but I did my best to make sure that every single meal was delicious.

We started with lunch, for which I prepared a super complete dish that included shredded beef, slices of ripe plantain, white rice and tomato slices seasoned with salt and a splash of white vinegar.

For dessert in the afternoon I bought a small vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting and strawberry whipped cream filling. It was super delicious and also at an excellent price. It was just enough for everyone to have a good slice.

And to end the day on a high note, my husband and I prepared some delicious submarines. They were filled with sauces, lettuce, tomato and mortadella.

They were as tasty as they look in the pictures. After eating them I gave my husband a bag of chicharrones, he had been wanting to eat some for a long time and when I saw them I immediately bought them as a gift.

When we opened them we realized that they were super bad hahaha they tasted and looked like they were made of plastic. Now that I was detailing the photo before uploading it I realized that they were expired. hahaha they expired last month! now I understand why they were so bad.

But well, it's the thought that counts and my husband is still alive.

The important thing is not to have big luxuries to celebrate an important date, but to be with the people you love and make every moment special. ♥

Para las fechas especiales en casa tenemos acostumbrado comer comida deliciosa para celebrar. Aunque mi esposo y yo no somos fan de celebrar las fechas comerciales, desde el año pasado quisimos incluir este día como parte de nuestras celebraciones porque es una excusa perfecta para celebrar nuestro amor y hacer algo chévere en casa.

No teníamos un presupuesto extenso para hacer una súper comida como teníamos pensado, pero me esmeré mucho para que cada una de las comidas fuera deliciosa.

Comenzamos con el almuerzo, para el cual preparé un plato súper completo que incluía carne de res picada en tiritas, tajadas de plátano maduro, arroz blanco y unas rodajas de tomate aderezadas con sal y un chorrito de vinagre blanco.

Como postre a media tarde compré una torta pequeñita que era de vainilla con cobertura de chantilly y de relleno chantilly de fresas. Estaba súper deliciosa y además a un excelente precio. Fue lo justo para que cada uno tuviera una buena rebanada.

Y para cerrar con broche de oro el día preparamos entre mi esposo y yo unos submarinos deliciosos. Tenían como relleno salsas, lechuga, tomate y mortadela.

Quedaron tan sabrosos como se ven en las fotos. Luego de comerlos le entregué a mi esposo una bolsita de chicharrones, el tenía mucho tiempo queriendo comer unos y yo cuando los ví inmediatamente los compre para regalárselos.

Al abrirlos nos dimos cuenta que estaban súper malos jajaja sabían y parecían hechos de plástico. Ahorita que estuve detallando la foto antes de subirla me di cuenta que estaban vencidos. jajaaja ¡se vencieron el mes pasado! ya entiendo porque estaban tan malos.

Pero bueno la intención es lo que cuenta y mi esposo sigue vivo.

Lo importante no es contar con grandes lujos para celebrar una fecha importante, sino estar con las personas que uno quiere y hacer cada momento especial. ♥
