¡Hola Chicos!
Hoy les contaré el fin de esta primera gran aventura pintando un retrato. Una aventura que comenzó el día que la mamá de una de mis alumnas me preguntó que si yo hacía retratos y yo bien nerviosa acepté el reto.
El proceso de pintar este cuadro fue más o menos un mes, entre la creación del boceto, volver a descubrir las facciones al momento de pintar con el color base, luego descubrir el tono de piel y lograr la expresión correcta, el peinado. En fin, eran muchos detalles a tomar en cuenta que por supuesto para mi eran sumamente importantes pues quería lograr algo perfecto.
Por ser mi primera vez tuve muchos fallos y hoy ya viendo el resultado sé que hubieron cosas que pude haber hecho mejor, pero a pesar de esto me siento feliz y satisfecha, porque gracias a este señor aprendí mucho y sé que a la próxima lograré acercarme más a ese resultado ideal.

Today I will tell you the end of this first great adventure painting a portrait. An adventure that began the day that the mother of one of my students asked me if I did portraits and I very nervously accepted the challenge.
The process of painting this picture took about a month, between creating the sketch, rediscovering the features at the time of painting with the base color, then discovering the skin tone and achieving the right expression, the hairstyle. In short, there were many details to take into account that of course for me were extremely important because I wanted to achieve something perfect.
Being my first time I had many mistakes and today seeing the result I know that there were things I could have done better, but despite this I feel happy and satisfied, because thanks to this man I learned a lot and I know that the next time I will get closer to that ideal result.
Su peinado fue una de las cosas que más me llevó tiempo descifrar, pues aunque parecía sencillo la verdad no lograba dar con exactitud la posición de los cabellos.
Así que durante mi proceso de encontrar ese peinado ideal el señor pasó por varios cortes de cabello, así como los faciales del post anterior.
Lo que amo de la pintura es que si algo no queda bien, siempre hay chance de mejorarlo.
Terminé aclarando todo el fondo porque no me sentía cómoda con el tono de gris que tenía en un principio.

What I love about painting is that if something doesn't look right, there is always a chance to make it better.
I ended up lightening the whole background because I didn't feel comfortable with the shade of gray I had at first.
Aproveché de hacer el fondo usando varios tonos de grises, no quería que quedara parejo, por eso se ven varios tonos.
Ya luego me di cuenta que el cabello seguía sin quedar como quería, así que seguí haciendo cambios de looks.

Then I realized that the hair still didn't look the way I wanted it to, so I kept changing the look.
El rostro en este punto estaba bien, pero el gesto que tenía sentía que aún no había quedado parecido. Me dio por pintar los labios y terminaron siendo demasiado oscuros, cosa que me estresó muchísimo pues hice cambios que no quería y bueno era como retroceder en el avance.
Luego de unas pinceladas y unos cuantos rezos logré llegar a un punto en el que dije "así quedó". Sentía que el resultado era lo suficientemente bueno como para entregarlo.
Justo al otro día debía ir a dar clases y era el turno de la alumna de la que les he hablado desde el inicio de la historia.
Así que firmé mi obra y di por terminado mi trabajo.

After a few brush strokes and a few prayers I managed to get to a point where I said “this is it”. I felt that the result was good enough to deliver.
Just the next day I had to go to give classes and it was the turn of the student I have been telling you about since the beginning of the story.
So I signed my work and finished my work.
Así terminé mi primer retrato, un camino largo, divertido y que definitivamente amé recorrer.
Siento que es algo que puedo hacer muy bien y espero pronto poder mostrarlo al público para que puedan salirme más encargos como este.
Por ahora se los muestro a ustedes y ya con eso puedo esperar unos días más para hacer la revelación en mis redes.
Ya el retrato fue entregado a sus dueñas y pronto les compartiré cual fue su reacción y opiniones al verlo. ♥
That's how I finished my first portrait, a long, fun way that I definitely loved to go.
I feel it's something I can do very well and I hope soon to show it to the public so I can get more commissions like this one.
For now I show it to you and with that I can wait a few more days to make the revelation in my networks.
The portrait has already been delivered to its owners and soon I will share with you what was their reaction and opinions when they saw it. ♥
