Les cuento amigos que este viaje que ha sido el planificar un evento no ha sido sencillo, hemos tenido algunos tropiezos en el camino (literal 😂) y algunas cosas no han sido fáciles de conseguir.
Para muestra un botón, les cuento... Resulta ser que para poder hacer los lienzos con madera necesitábamos una grapadora de muebles, o industrial como también le dicen.
Estuvimos esperando muchos días por una persona que nos iba a hacer el favor de prestárnosla para poder pegar el lienzo a la madera. La cuestión es que pasaban los días y la persona no aparecía.
Ya estábamos en la semana del evento y los lienzos seguían sin prepararse. El último día fuimos hasta el negocio de la señora que nos haría el favor para hablar directamente con ella ya que teníamos un intermediario.
La señora no estaba y se nos ocurrió ir hasta el negocio de unos carpinteros que quedaban cerca de la casa de Elieska, mi amiga y compañera en esta aventura.
Nos querían quitar 20$ por grapar los 20 marcos a la tela 😨. UNA LOCURA. Fue entonces cuando le dije a mi compañera "vamos a tener que comprar la grapadora y así nos ahorramos ese dinero que nos quieran cobrar y quedamos nosotras con la herramienta."

I tell you friends that this journey that has been planning an event has not been easy, we have had some stumbles along the way (literally 😂) and some things have not been easy to get.

We were waiting many days for a person who was going to do us the favor of lending it to us to be able to glue the canvas to the wood. The thing is that days went by and the person did not show up.
We were already in the week of the event and the canvases were still not ready. The last day we went to the business of the lady who would do us the favor to talk directly with her since we had an intermediary.
The lady was not there and we decided to go to the business of some carpenters that were near the house of Elieska, my friend and partner in this adventure.
They wanted to take $20 for stapling the 20 frames to the canvas 😨. CRAZY. That's when I told my partner "we're going to have to buy the stapler so we save that money they want to charge us and we're left with the tool."
Y así fue, luego de preguntar en varias tiendas mi compañera consiguió esta por un precio de 7$ aproximadamente. Esta grapadora venía con 100 grapas.
Le pregunté repetidamente a mi compañera que si en esa tienda vendían las grapas de repuesto y sin recibir respuesta la grapadora llegó a mis manos.
Las grapas solo alcanzaron para 8 lienzos, el resto quedó sin armarse. Acá es donde comenzó la travesía, pues no se encontraban las grapas por ningún sitio. 😅
And so it was, after asking around at several stores my partner got this one for a price of about $7.00. This stapler came with 100 staples.
I repeatedly asked my partner if that store sold the spare staples and without receiving an answer the stapler arrived to my hands.
The staples were only enough for 8 canvases, the rest remained unassembled. This is where the journey began, as the staples were nowhere to be found. 😅
Aprovechando que íbamos a hacer unas diligencias en el centro, pasamos por una ferretería nueva llamada "FAZ". En esta tienda habían un sin fin de productos de la marca "COVO", que es la marca de la grapadora que había comprado.
Entramos y notamos que era una tienda muy hermosa y bien estructurada.
Había una gran pared con muestras de pintura. También contaban con muchos pasillos con diferentes productos. Nos fuimos directamente a la caja a preguntar por las grapas.
Nos pidieron la grapadora para probar las que tenía y para nuestra mala suerte no tenían. 😔
Taking advantage of the fact that we were going to run some errands downtown, we passed by a new hardware store called "FAZ". In this store there were a lot of products of the brand "COVO", which is the brand of the stapler I had bought.
We walked in and noticed that it was a very beautiful and well structured store.
There was a large wall with paint samples. They also had many aisles with different products. We went straight to the cashier to ask for the staples.
We were asked for the stapler to try the ones they had and to our bad luck they didn't have any. 😔
Para no perder el viaje decidimos hacer un pequeño recorrido por la tienda, consultar precios y ver que otras cosas tenían para ofrecer.
Somos mujeres pero sabemos que de cosas que pueden sernos de utilidad en nuestro hogar.
In order not to miss the trip we decided to take a little tour of the store, check prices and see what else they had to offer.
We are women but we know of things that can be useful in our home.
Encontré una parte con herramientas y le tomé fotos para que mi esposo pudiera verlas y tener referencia por si alguna de ellas le hacía falta. También habían muchos instrumentos de protección, súper importante para trabajos pesados.
En el techo habían unas lámparas hermosas, que por cuestión de la cámara no se aprecian muy bien pero había un bombillo enorme con colores tornasolados que me encantó. ♥
I found a part with tools and took pictures so my husband could see them and have a reference in case he needed any of them. There were also a lot of protection tools, very important for heavy work.
On the ceiling there were some beautiful lamps, which because of the camera you can't see very well but there was a huge light bulb with iridescent colors that I loved. ♥
Habían una sección con unas plantas eléctricas, algo que es una necesidad urgente en cualquier casa de nuestra región debido a los constantes cortes eléctricos que interrumpen nuestras actividades diarias.
Soñamos con tener una pero estas suelen costar cerca de los 500$ o más dependiendo de su tamaño y fuerza.
There was a section with some power plants, something that is an urgent necessity in any home in our region due to the constant power outages that interrupt our daily activities.
We dream of having one but these usually cost close to $500 or more depending on their size and strength.
Antes de irnos habían unos tanques de agua en el frente y le tomé una foto a mi hijo junto a él porque me parecía súper tierno jajaja ♥
Es que todas las cosas que son en tamaño mini me parecen súper chistosas. 😂
Before we left there were some water tanks in the front and I took a picture of my son next to it because I thought it was super cute hahaha ♥.
I just find all the things that are in mini size super funny. 😂
A pesar de que no encontramos lo que buscábamos disfruté el pequeño recorrido que hicimos por esta ferretería que tiene mucho para ofrecer y que espero estar visitando pronto para hacer algunas compra. ♥
Even though we didn't find what we were looking for I enjoyed the little tour we took of this hardware store that has a lot to offer and that I hope to be visiting soon to do some shopping. ♥
