[ESP/ENG] Enjoying delicious sushi at Medellín gourmet event

Hola a todos, espero que su semana haya ido de maravilla. Hoy paso por aqui para contarles acerca de un evento al que tuve la oportunidad de asistir el día de hoy. Se trata del Medellín gourmet. En este evento están participando más de 140 restaurantes desde el 5 de abril hasta el 5 de mayo. Cada restaurante presenta un menú con 1 entrada, 2 bebidas, 2 platos fuertes, 1 agua, 1 postre y un café si vas a la hora del almuerzo.

Hello everyone, I hope your week has been going great. Today I am stopping by to tell you about an event I had the opportunity to attend today. It is the Medellin gourmet. More than 140 restaurants are participating in this event from April 5th to May 5th. Each restaurant presents a menu with 1 starter, 2 drinks, 2 main courses, 1 water, 1 dessert and a coffee if you go at lunch time.

Nosotros nos decidimos por el menú de Akashi de entre todas las porciones que estaban en el Medellín gourmet. Es un restaurante donde consigues sushi delicioso. Lo elegimos porque realmente es un lugar que vale la pena, la comida es sabroso y sus ingredientes de calidad. Este restaurante estaba ofreciendo dos menús, uno de 85 mil pesos y otro de 155 mil pesos. Nosotros nos fuimos con el segundo porque las opciones estaban más provocativas.

We decided on the Akashi menu among all the portions that were in the Medellín gourmet. It is a restaurant where you get delicious sushi. We chose it because it really is a worthwhile place, the food is tasty and the ingredients are quality. This restaurant was offering two menus, one for 85 thousand pesos and another one for 155 thousand pesos. We went with the second one because the options were more provocative.

Además de eso, este combo de 155 mil pesos colombianos venía con dos bonos de 100 mil para redimir en Chevignon, así que obviamente era una opción bastante tentativa. Al llegar al akashi del centro comercial Oviedo, le dijimos a la chica que veníamos por ese menú y ella amablemente nos preguntó que cuales serían las opciones para el plato fuerte. Yo escogí el rollo llamado Dragón roll porque ya le he probado antes y me encanta, por otro lado José escogió uno llamado "The Flower" El cual era un poco picante pero bastante bueno también.

Besides that, this 155 thousand Colombian pesos combo came with two 100 thousand pesos vouchers to redeem at Chevignon, so it was obviously a very tempting option. When we arrived at the akashi in the Oviedo mall, we told the girl that we were coming for that menu and she kindly asked us what the options for the main course would be. I chose the roll called "Dragon roll" because I have tried it before and I love it, on the other hand Jose chose one called "The Flower" which was a bit spicy but pretty good too.

Esa foto de arriba es la entrada y se trataba de un tartar de salmón. Si me preguntan, estaba tan delicioso porque es una combinación entre pescado con limón y aguacate. Más abajo ven foto de los dos platos fuertes de los cuales quedé encantada con la presentación. Además las bebidas quedaron perfectas con estos platos. Todo salió calentito, bien presentado, la atención maravillosa pero la entrada tardó un poco en llegar. Sin embargo después de la entrada todo llegó tan rápido.

That picture above is the starter and it was a salmon tartar. If you ask me, it was so delicious because it is a combination of fish with lemon and avocado. Below is a photo of the two main courses of which I was delighted with the presentation. The drinks were also perfect with these dishes. Everything came out hot, well presented, the service was wonderful but the appetizer took a while to arrive. However, after the appetizer everything arrived so quickly.

Obviamente al terminar la comida, la chica nos preguntó si deseábamos en ese mismo momento el café y la botella de agua. Claramente dijimos que si y luego ella procede a preguntarnos si queríamos el postre también a lo que también accedimos. Respecto al postre, no había opción a elegir puesto que la opción del menú era una genovesa de pistacho la cual estaba fenomenal. A nosotros nos encantó y le damos 10/10 a todo. Si desean degustar de este postre aquí no se preocupen que está disponible en la carta y fuera del evento del Medellín gourmet.

Obviously at the end of the meal, the girl asked us if we wanted coffee and a bottle of water. Clearly we said yes and then she proceeded to ask us if we wanted dessert as well to which we also agreed. As for dessert, there was no choice since the menu option was a pistachio genoise which was phenomenal. We loved it and we give it 10/10 for everything. If you want to try this dessert here, don't worry, it is available on the menu and outside the Medellin gourmet event.

Ya por último les muestro los bonos respectivos que son redimibles por compras iguales o superiores a 200 mil. Estos bonos hay que aprovecharlos antes de que se acabe el evento. Ahora sí me permiten darles un consejo, si tienen la oportunidad de asistir al Medellín gourmet háganlo y disfruten de su comida favorita o su restaurante favorito.
