My experience visiting a gastronomy center [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos, primero que nada espero que hayan tenido un viernes precioso. Paso por aquí nuevamente para mostrarles un nuevo lugar para mi en Medelllín. Si, nuevo y digo nuevo porque no lo había visitado durante el tiempo que tengo aquí. Así que aprovechando que vino familia por parte de mi madre a conocer esta hermosa ciudad, pensamos que sería estupendo visitar Mercado del Rio, un hermoso centro gastronómico donde encuentras en un solo sitio diferentes restaurantes y bares en los que puedes divertirte y disfrutar con tu familia y amigos.

Hello everyone, first of all I hope you had a lovely Friday. I am stopping by again to show you a new place for me in Medellin. Yes, new and I say new because I had not visited it during the time I have here. So taking advantage of the fact that my mother's family came to visit this beautiful city, we thought it would be great to visit Mercado del Rio, a beautiful gastronomic center where you find in one place different restaurants and bars where you can have fun and enjoy with your family and friends.

Como mi familia se está quedando en un Airbnb, coincidimos en que nos veriamos allí para hablar y comer. Tenía rato sin verlos puesto que la ultima vez que los ví fué cuando estuve trabajando en el supermercado de ellos, si, así es, yo trabajé para ellos varios meses. Así que como sabía que ellos venian debia aprovechar la oportunidad de hablarles un poco de mi vida aquí, de mostrarles algunos lugares y presentarles a José.

Since my family is staying in an Airbnb, we agreed to meet there to talk and eat. I hadn't seen them for a while since the last time I saw them was when I was working in their supermarket, yes, that's right, I worked for them for several months. So since I knew they were coming I had to take the opportunity to tell them a little about my life here, show them some places and introduce them to Jose.

Estaba un poco nerviosa, pero con muchas ganas de verlos. Ellos llegaron primero y aprovecharon de hacerse un par de fotos que pude ver mientras llegaba al Mercado. Así que, cuando llegué como ellos ya estaban adentro, aproveché de hacerme un par de fotos también puesto que la entrada estaba fabulosa, se prestaba para eso y me encantó.

I was a little nervous, but looking forward to seeing them. They arrived first and took the opportunity to take a couple of pictures that I could see as I arrived at the market. So, when I arrived as they were already inside, I took the opportunity to take a couple of pictures as well since the entrance was fabulous, it lent itself to that and I loved it.

Cuando José y yo entramos, estabamos buscando a mi familia sin dejar de ver el lugar y sus hermosos restaurantes con la decoración fabulosa. Cada restaurante estaba decorado de acuerdo a la comida que vendian o de acuerdo a la historia de dicho lugar. Yo estaba enamorada y con tantos lugares confundida porque realmente no sabía qué comer, pero estuvo genial, habia bastante gente en el lugar puesto que es un lugar muy visitado aquí por turistas.

When Jose and I walked in, we were looking for my family while looking at the place and its beautiful restaurants with fabulous decorations. Each restaurant was decorated according to the food they sold or according to the history of the place. I was in love and with so many places I was confused because I really didn't know what to eat, but it was great, there were a lot of people in the place since it is a very visited place here by tourists.

Cuando por fin ví a mi familia estaba muy contenta, de verdad tenía muchas ganas de encontrarme con ellos. Tomamos una mesa, algunos se sentaron y los demás ibamos viendo que comer para ordenar y esperar que lo llevaran hasta la mesa. Debo decir que como los restaurantes son pequeños tardaran un poco en preparar tu comida depende de la demanda que tenga el restaurante. Algunos ordenaron ceviche, otros papitas con un montón de cositas, arroz especial y yo sushi puesto que saben que me encanta y encontré el nombre de un restaurante de sushi que tenia muchas ganas de probar.

When I finally saw my family I was very happy, I was really looking forward to meeting them. We took a table, some of them sat down and the rest of us were looking at what to eat to order and wait for them to bring it to the table. I must say that as the restaurants are small they will take a while to prepare your food depending on the demand of the restaurant. Some ordered ceviche, others chips with a lot of little things, special rice and me sushi since they know I love it and I found the name of a sushi restaurant that I really wanted to try.

José y yo nos acercamos a Akashi Sushi Bar, un restaurante bastante reconocido. Así que mientras veiamos le menú la chica nos dijo que tardarían unos 35 minutos en preparar nuestro pedido lo cual no fué impedimiento pues estabamos dispuestos a esperar. José eligió una opción un poco picante y yo uno tempurizado, porque mil veces prefiero tempura. Debo decir que a pesar de la espera, me encantó la comida. Cada plato estuvo muy bien servido y con buen sabor. Nos dieron nuestro dispositivo para saber cuando estaría listo nuestro pedido e ir por él puesto que estabamos sentados un poco lejos del local y le dijimos que nosotros buscariamos nuestros platos.

Jose and I went to Akashi Sushi Bar, a well known restaurant. So while we were looking at the menu the girl told us that it would take about 35 minutes to prepare our order which was not an impediment because we were willing to wait. Jose chose a slightly spicy option and I chose a tempura one, because a thousand times I prefer tempura. I must say that despite the wait, I loved the food. Each dish was very well served and tasted great. They gave us our device to know when our order would be ready and to go get it since we were seated a bit far from the place and we told them that we would look for our dishes.

Para finalizar nuestra noche, después de comer decidimos ir por unas cervezas en unos de los bares de arriba. También encontramos BBC aquí cosa que no sabiamos pero preferiamos algo diferente y más de la ciudad. Así que cada uno ordenó su cerveza de acuerdo a su gusto y terminamos cansados ya con ganas de ir a casa.

To end our night, after eating we decided to go for a few beers in one of the bars upstairs. We also found BBC here which we didn't know but we preferred something different and more of the city. So we each ordered our beer according to our taste and ended up tired and wanting to go home.

Fué un rato especial con mi gente. Me encantó el sitio, así que si vienen a Medellín y quieres conocer un centro gastronomico, Mercado del Río es una excelente opción, además que encuentras diferentes restaurantes para el gusto de cada persona. It was a special time with my people. I loved the place, so if you come to Medellin and want to know a gastronomic center, Mercado del Rio is an excellent choice, plus you find different restaurants for the taste of each person.
