A THRILLING RIDE! RED NOTICE (2021), MOVIE REVIEW.

Red Notice(2021) Movie is an action comedy with a tiny bit of romance at the end. I was fascinated by this movie when I saw that Rawson Marshall Thurber directed and wrote the movie. This movie will make it the third time Dwayne Johnson is working side by side with the director. Red notice featured four popular celebrities and they are; Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Ed Sheeran who appeared at almost at the tail end of the movie.

The movie was distributed by Netflix on 5th November, 2021 and the production companies involved with the movie are; Flynn Picture Company, Seven Bucks Productions and Bad Version, Inc. The movie ran for one hour, fifty-seven minutes. So if you are not a two hours movie person, don't go there.

Little About the Plot
This movie was based on an historical event that happened in 30 BC where Marcus Antonius gifted Cleopatra three golden eggs as a gift during her wedding ceremony to show his devotion to her, but these eggs were lost in time. Later two golden eggs were discovered by a farmer in the early 90s with the third one lost in time, but is it really lost?

John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson), a special agent profiler for the FBI was assigned to work with the interpol to help investigate an upcoming theft that was to happen in a museum in Rome where one of Golden eggs of Cleopatra was to be auctioned. The thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) was caught with the help of John.

The egg was recovered from Booth but later handed over to John by the interpol to be transported for safe keeping, but was stolen by The Bishop (Gal Gadot) the number 1 arts thief without the knowledge of John. Later interpol discovered John was not who he said he was and he was arrested for stealing the egg. John pleaded that he was framed by the Bishop but that did stop the interpol from arresting him. John was taken to a black site in Russia only for him to find out that Booth was his cellmate.

Booth and John made a deal to work together and find all the three eggs while John cleared his name. On their adventure of looking for the eggs, they met with The Bishop and the struggle became real. The Bishop was always a step ahead of them, always using them both as pawns and knowing their next step, but the question is, who is The Bishop working with?

Almost at the end, after Booth and John had recovered the third egg, the person The bishop was working with was revealed and Booth was heartbroken, disappointed and his trust was broken. That is a moral I learned from the movie. Never trust anyone, no matter the emotional bond you both have. Always be watchful and all that glitters is not gold.

My Opinion and Ratings
This movie blew my mind away and I was very impressed with it. I can say that this movie is the best of Netflix and one of the most thrilling movies of Netflix regardless of the early critcs. I can't speak for other viewers but for me it was a thrilling ride for me. I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning till the end of the movie and it was a mixture of Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible for me which gave off an extreme suspense.

The cast are very likeable, Dwayne acted as a badass, strong and at almost the end of the movie there was a kissing scene which is rare in all his movies. I was like omg! and ewww at the same because I am not used to seeing him do that. Don't judge me😂😏. Gal Gadot, acted as a seductive character, badass but alluring at the same time. The real character that stood out for me was Ryan Reynolds. You can't watch his movies without laughing like hell or loving him. His humor, facial expressions, and the way he synchronised himself with his role was amazing! Above all, there is this strong chemistry between the three of them and I think viewers will be expecting another sequel because I don't think I have gotten enough of them.

The action was extremely thrilling, visuals are fantastic, the choice of location and setting were amazing and also I had fun watching the movie. I am giving this movie 4.5 stars for the setting 5 stars, stunts 4 stars and then for characterization 4.5 stars. I would recommend this movie for action film lovers and also I smell a sequel coming up. I hope you do see the movie, you won't be disappointed.
