WEST TO EAST 5

BANG!

As the bomb which Daniel threw to the six shadowy figures exploded, Breya got impaled to a machine with blood gushing out from her gut due to the impact of the bomb. Daniel's remains were scattered all around, Fabien pinned on the floor by heavy equipment in the facility and half of the tactical team blown to pieces while some were injured. The six Wendigos (shadowy figures) were not affected by the bomb, including the Freyja (the Witch). Everywhere was a mess, smoke and stench of blood thick in the air.

The Wendigos recovered quickly and came for the Freyja and Breya in a quick burst of speed and brute strength. Freyja flew to her feet in a quick movement as she summoned up all her power from the emerald stone attached to her forehead and chanted a spell in old Norse and the Wendigos were frozen. Their eyes were craze red, lean,but strength was visible in their muscles. Their skin wrinkled and pale, seven feet tall, razor sharp claws and thick fangs and they all wore black robes.

Freyja went over to Breya and discovered that her breathing had slowed down. Quickly she removed her body for the machine where she was impaled and there was more blood. Then she cut open her wrist, made an incision on Breya's forehead and then dropped a few of her blood into the cut. Then she did a spell which brought Breya to consciousness, healed all her wounds and bruises. Breya blinked her eyes open only for her to see Freyja helping her to get on feet.

"Are you okay my dear?" Freyja asked her when she was fully on her feet.

"I think I am.." she replied as began to take in what had just happened.

"I did a life linking spell with you, your heart was badly damaged from your injury. Now you are linked to me in every way. I am your life source".

Breya looked confused. "What? How did you do that?" she asked.

"It is a simple spell which you have the power to do." Freyja said.

Breya was looking for Fabien when she realized that the Wendigos were frozen. In amazement, she asked, "Did you do that to them?"

"Yes I did, but it will only last for about an hour which gives us enough time to go somewhere safe and plan on how to end this" Freyja said.

Breya was about to say something when she heard, "Ahm, help". It came out as a whisper. It was Fabien writhing in pain under the heavy equipment that he was pinned under after the explosion. Quickly Breya and Freyja ran to his rescue.

"Quickly Breya, time is upon us before the spell which in the Wendigos elapses." Freyja said as they helped all the men that were still alive, but injured.

"Do you know a safe place where we could go?" Freyja asked Breya.

"How about the military base where I work?" she responded

"I don't know what the place looks like so I could take us there using magic or can I assess your memory?"

"Em, alright but don't go further than that. You don't have the consent to the rest of my memory. Agreed?!"

"Of course. Just think of work only and it will be the only thing I see." Freyja said as she placed the index fingers of both of her hands on Breya's temple. Her eyes became foggy white and glassy as she accessed Breya's memories.

The Wendigos began to display little movements which meant time was up for them. Then Freyja says three words in old Norse and in a heartbeat, they get sucked into an electrical spiral-like wormhole which disappeared into a dot as they all vanished.
