LOH#88 - My day

(Edited)

More often than normal, I have realized that most of my day never goes as planned, when I tell people they say it is one of the perks of being a mum.

One would think that now I have my son in the creche, I would have lots of time to myself, to relax, read a book, and exercise...that Is not even the case at all...the moment I try to relax I realize there is one more thing that needs to be done. Anyways that aside

All thanks to @reineesmay for the invite from her post SPEND A DAY WITH ME, now you all get to spend a day with me as well. I invite @blacktarri @ozohu to share their daywith us too.

It's Friday...

Friday is the start of the weekend; which means no school for my baby tomorrow and the day after. so I dedicate my Fridays to ensuring every chore is checked, grocery and snack, and everything we need for the weekend is available that is my typical Friday routine.

So I woke up by 6:50 am today gladly I woke up before my baby, it's easier when I wake up first so I can make his meal and ensure everything is set for school. Just when I was enjoying my alone morning time praying thinking I would have time after to set his things, he got up.

I had to end my prayers abruptly even though I finished up In silence as I quickly made his. Breakfast which was PAP, mixed with peanut butter and date syrup.

He had breakfast, then I bathed him and he was set for school at 8:30.

On our way out I almost forgot to take a picture of him for his dad...my husband made me promise I would send pictures of his son every day, it has been tasking but a promise is a promise. f I forget in the morning I ensure I go it at night..else I would receive a long epistle telling me how I made him miss one day of seeing his son.

So we took some pictures, and I took him to school and I was back home by 9:00 am.

Now it was time for chores, I washed all the dirty clothes, it wasn't so much cause over the week I wash too, they dusted the house like I do every day but today unlike other days I mopped thoroughly, the room, kitchen and living room. took me over 2 hrs to finish because I was dancing and singing along to my gospel playlist...I made it for my labor but I still enjoy every song till now.

When I was done I washed my hair and had my bath and was set for breakfast at noon. I had one of my favorite cereals COCO POPS for breakfast. My next agenda was to go and braid my hair quickly but the weather had other plans. It rained so heavily and my clothes Were outside, that I couldn't care less.

I picked up my laptop to Go over my project again while I waited for the rain to subside as I would be submitting this night, I have been going through the course for over 10 weeks now and finally, I am at the end of it. I needed my project to be perfect so I have been stalling to submit but I did today.

Finally, almost 2 hours later the rain stopped, I took my umbrella and went to the saloon, the saloon is a bit far but I was too cold.to take a bike so I walked there, it was a good exercise for the cold. I made hair and on my way back to stop to get things for the house, I got bread, snack, fruits, and yogurt for my baby.

I got home and it was 2:50 pm almost 3..now I was really hungry so I quickly. boiled some rice and warmed my stew...I was in a hurry to eat that I couldn't fry plantain, thankfully I got avocados earlier so I used them instead.

I can't eat rice and stew alone

By the time I was done with cooking and eating it was already 3:30 pm..only 30min left to rest before I go pick up Leroy.

I laid for a minute and before I knew it..it was 4:25... I rushed with speed to pick my baby up and meet him playing and dancing I almost didn't want to take him home.

When he saw me he crawled to me and we played our usual peek-a-boo, I missed him🥰 we went home and continued playing and just goofing around till 6:00 pm.

I made him dinner rice pudding(mashed rice and apple sauce) he loved it...I noticed he was feeling sleepy because according to his school report that I receive daily, he only slept once for 45minute..so I got a warm towel and cleaned him up, the weather was too cold for a bath. Laid him down on the bed and by 7:20 he was already asleep.

I got ready for bed too, took an apple for dinner, submitted my project finally then laid down and said my prayers. I switch on my tv to watch the movie I downloaded (doctor strange) but I just took a break from the movie to make this post before I call it a night

....and that is all about my day today

Good night ladies and have a lovely weekend ahead.

all pictures were taken by me and edited with my phone

Yes o just peeled off the back of the apple, cut into piece steam or boil in little water then blend.

It is also nice on it's only but I added rice cause it is suitable for 8months and above

Having children is a 24-hour job, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with no vacations!!!!, no right to rest! So I understand perfectly when you say you don't have time to read a book.

As for the photos, I love that they were all in black and white.

This looks like a well spent day.

Leroy has started schooling yipie! I can only imagine your freedom right now.

I wish i can take my baby to school too but her dad says till age 2. I'm hot and cold about it though because I'm not sure how I'll feel sending her to school. I'm also worried that they might leave her to sit on her poop since they won't have their eyes on just her. I also worry that they might leave her to cry for long when she seeks attention... Arrrghhh too many worries.

Did you have such worries? What's the present reality with him going to creche?

...thanks for tagging. Will hop on the prompt if its not too late.

I had no worries at all .I did lots of school searching, till I finally decided to put him in a childcare center and not school. Where their sole attention is on the kids and
His group has only 5 kids with 2 teachers so he is in good hands.

I get daily of his activity, from his playing, eating, and poop..he isn't Even 1 yet so they know better

I am as relaxed as a bird..when u find the right school you will be at ease.

Interesting. 2 teachers for 5kids is very good. Now I know why you're at peace.

Happy chilling!
