Nigeria as a democratic state had her swearing in of its new president today may 29 2023, it the new dawn and the beginning of a new era of government. The new president of the federal Republic of Nigeria made a speech at the inauguration ceremony concerning the subsidy of the price of fuel

He said, “Fuel subsidy is no more. Subsidy can no longer justify its ever-increasing costs in the wake of drying resources

It has not been 24 hours since the new president of Nigeria, President Bola Tinub was sworn in power the price of fuel pumps as petrol stations in the top cities of the country witnessed queues of Nigerian citizens rushing in to buy some products.

Lot of the private sector has already shut down their operation due to the announcement made by the president early today. Some citizens are already preparing for the next step that is about to be taken as they crowd the fuel station to buy as much as possible to avoid the effect of the fuel pump.

"We shall instead re-channel the funds into better investment in public infrastructure, education, health care and jobs that will materially improve the lives of millions.
“No provision for fuel subsidy.”

To what extent can this help, re-channeling the funds to infrastructure, education, health care, will it really be to go he betterment of the citizens, what is the point of buying a costly fuel and having a better job is it not a way of still spending our salary on fuel.

Why are the masses complaining about the No provision for fuel subsidy in Nigeria by the president, while to some extent it a good way of bringing out those who are sideliners stealing the money made from the crude oil in the country all in the name of fuel subsidy.
