A Year in Retrospect: Reflecting on Life One Year Ago

Meeting Jane was a blessing to me, any time I think about the way we met her I am always grateful that our paths crossed.

Last year March one of my clients gave my number to her friend, she was preparing for her birthday and she saw the make-up that I did for her friend so she fell in love with my work and decided that I must be her makeup artist for the event.

I was happy when I got the call from her because my client had already briefed me about her, so I wasn't caught unaware, she demanded home service and I rendered it, she was so happy with my work and we departed that day.

After a week I got a call from her and she said she submitted my name to her company, she works in a modeling company as one of their agents, I was so happy because this would change my life for good.

I got a call from their company and I was screened to know maybe I am capable of the job, my job is to do make-up for their models and I will get paid for my service, it was a dream that came true because I never expected such opportunity and this person who submitted my name was just a client that knows nothing about me.

After the job, I got paid, and I moved out of my small apartment and to a bigger one, I also changed the location of my make-up studio to a very befitting area with the money I made from this contract.

I only based on make-up alone but after this contract, I decided to venture into selling of make-up products which I can earn more from it even when I am not working as a make-up artist.

Meeting someone like Jane is very rare because some people will have the opportunity to help but they will never think of helping others they prefer to let it go than to help, I respected Jane for this and my bond with her became stronger, she is someone who changes my life within a twinkle of an eye because ordinarily I do not think I can have such opportunity.

I am now business-oriented, which I was not like last year, I know Jane is not a selfish human being and we are going to do so many things together, reflecting on my life from last year till date, I have achieved many things and I am glad about my present situation but I need is to move forward more.

Another way in which my life has improved drastically is on Hive, when I checked my profile and compared to last year it really improved, I had moved from writing a post once a month to writing a post every day.

I remember that in January I published post every day and I was giving a buzzy bee by Hivebuzz, I had improved in so many ways like engaging with people on Hive, making connections through Hive, and making offline friends and I am so happy for this greatest improvement.

By this time last year I could not boost 10 HBD In my wallet as savings because I was not constant on Hive but this year my reputation has increased and now I have savings in Hive tokens and also In HBD.

This is my savings for this month and I am glad I made something good.

What made me grow on Hive is my consistency, I sat myself down and planned to make something good out of Hive, and since then hive has been a blessing to me because I use most of my savings on Hive to support my business and also pay my bills most times.
