MINIMALISM SHOULD NOT RESULT IN DISCOMFORT

Minimalism should not result in dissatisfaction, some people are too minimalist to the point that they can never spend on themselves, they are too calculative and deprive themselves of better things, and they are someone who can receive from others but can never use their money to get it for themselves.

Being a minimalist is good because it helps you to save enough and makes you think about what you are going to do with your life but we all know that in life everything that has advantages also has disadvantages, we can be a minimalist and also enjoy the benefit of life.

Being a minimalist means always cutting your coat according to your size, means you should not pass your power, and always thinking about tomorrow not saying you should not have a coat at all, being an extremist minimalist can turn someone into a stingy person.

I once had a friend who was an extremist minimalist, I used once because we are no longer together, he is someone who always has plans for his money, he can never remove a penny even when his mother was sick, and he is always on a budget, I thought they said desperate times calls for desperate measure, when it comes to some matters protocols should be broken but in his case, he doesn't care.

One day I went to his house and his sister called him and explained to him that his mother was sick and they had rushed her to the hospital but they needed funds to buy some necessary things, this guy kept complaining that there was no money in his account when we both know they just paid his monthly salary that week, we worked together so I know more about him, he found it difficult to eat in the office because he had the belief that homemade food is the best even when he his hungry.

This guy only had a mattress in his house, I have never seen a guy like that, he always has plans with his money but he is living in poverty, his house is nothing to write about, he went for the cheapest accommodations in which he shares bathroom and toilet with other tenants and I am very sure he has the money to have a proper, well-furnished apartments but this guy prefers to be sharing public toilet, that is what I called poverty at its peak because he is the one who subjected himself to it.

This guy's behavior chased so many friends away from him because he is always calculative and can never tamper with his money either necessarily or unnecessarily, someone who can not help his mother, things should not be like that, being a minimalist shouldn't be a crime but overdoing it can cause harm.

After some months this guy called me and told me he was in the hospital, I went to the hospital to check on him and the doctor told me he had a chronic ulcer, I was shocked to hear that, and immediately I looked at him and asked "You had not been feeding well too" just because you wanted to manage your income now you are facing another problem with your life, I learned a lot from him because I am a minimalist as well but not an extremist minimalist.

Then he used all his savings to treat Ulcer, I told him he could be a minimalist and be fine without any problems in his life but he took his minimalist to the extreme and now he must deposit to the pharmacy every month to get drugs for his ulcer, see what he caused for himself all in the name of being an extremist.
