MY GREATEST FEAR

Good day my lovely people here on hive, today I will love to participate in the ongoing weekly contest #hl-w15e1 which says "GREATEST FEAR"

My greatest fear is POVERTY, been poor is not what someone can pray for,since I was young I have been having the fear of being poor.

Poverty is not what someone can be boast of, poverty demote someone from other peer, poverty brings shame to someone in public, poverty is not a relative, this has always been my greatest fear.

I remembered when things was so tight for my family that is when I know a little bit of been poor, that period I felt so horrible for people that are on the street begging to survive, being broke or financial down Is different from being poor,

Some years back I met one family in neighborhood, they are very poor, they can not afford two square meal talk less of three, this woman was left with three children and the husband does not cater for the children's need, the man left the woman and married a new wife, the children suffer to the extend that the mother will tell the children to go out and beg for money so that they can eat for the day, no school for the children and the mother is struggling on her own to cater for the children, this woman and the children live in an uncompleted building because there was no shelter for them.

One faithful we heard a noise from the completed building and everyone rushed out to see what the problem was, the woman was crying that her child just died now, everyone was in pain because that area was a student environment there is nothing we can do to help rather than to give them food, the child died of cold and this woman wept her life out.

Since that day I felt so sorry and promise to work hard and make good living because to be poor in life has been a nightmare for me.
