THAT NEIGHBOR THAT NEARLY BRING OUT THE MONSTER IN ME

Noise Pollution describes excessive or upsetting noise that may be harmful to both the environment and human health. Many things can contribute to it, including building sites, loud music, industrial machinery, and even commonplace activities like running domestic appliances or speaking loudly.

Exposure to high levels of noise pollution can lead to a range of health problems which include hearing loss, stress, sleep disturbances, and so on.

I used to have a neighbor who recently moved out of the compound last week. She is a speaker on her own with a loud, bass-like voice, she talks as if ten guys are staying in her apartment and shows no concern for other people if they are comfortable with her noise.

This woman is a fighter who is also an impatient person who never helps the compound progress, her loud male voice has caused problems with every tenant in the compound.

We all notice her absence in the compound when she is not there; it is always peaceful and quiet as if no one is staying there, and that is the only time we get to enjoy the rent we paid, once she returns, things resume as usual.

I was sleeping one afternoon after a very long day at work. I returned very early because I was weak and exhausted, I returned to rest to feel okay and relax my mind for the next day. I slept for ten minutes that day, and then this woman opened the gate and began to echo her son's name from the gate as if she would not enter into her apartment. Her voice woke me up and gave me a headache, at first I was angry and stood up from bed to challenge her but I just kept calm instead of yelling at her because she was very troublesome and I didn't want to add to my already stressful situation.

I had no idea that I was not the only one affected by her voice that afternoon, I heard a man from his apartment yell at this woman for her rude behavior. He was napping when the woman's voice woke him up, so he called the caretaker right away to report the incident. Since then, everyone in the compound has been complaining about this woman's careless attitude, her way of screaming while pretending to talk, and her indifferent attitude toward everyone.

That evening, the building's caretaker visited the compound and met with all of the tenants. He gave the woman a warning and instructed her not to renew her rent because she was not only a problem within our compound but also caused complaints from other people who lived nearby. She will be yelling as though she is mentally ill and never gives a damn about other people.

She is obviously not normal because she can't possibly be a human being shouting like that in a compound. Her husband apparently left her due to her stupid attitude, and she has never stopped making noise, her day wouldn't be complete without it.

Last week, when she was packing up, we were all relieved because our wall of Jericho had given way. We have been experiencing peace and harmony since she left, and the compound is now as peaceful as ever.
