Wednesday Walk and Evolving to a Minnow

I am late on Wednesday, but I still wanted to share my walk that day. Wednesday this week becomes my lucky charm, for I did evolve from small fish to minnow. Also, I did celebrate my second month of stay in the Hive. My Hive birthday was July 7, 2022. And I love celebrating the whole count of my months in visits to the Hive blockchain. But before anything, here's what happened on my Wednesday.

The weather was nice and cloudy last Wednesday. I made the point where imagining the ber-months was not the same as what we expected for now, well the weather was always in the high heat in Cagayan which I belong. Also, good point as rice plants is now getting ready to harvest.

The normal when you lived in my place, just a tiny residence where we knew each other, a small circle where we already knew when the delivery rider of parcels looked for the address of the parcel recipient. One thing that I loved in the community I belong to is that there was less or no crime had been recorded, a peaceful place yet gossips are still in the cage, I think we cannot change the world of this kind, but happy still for no crime of thief and murder was recorded until today as I grew in mature man.

Looking at a house designed like this, I remembered my younger days. I met a friend before that loved to be in the home, even made with bamboo or prices of scraps that had been made to become a shelter. I cannot forget what she said, "I loved to have a house like this, not the place I been where we need to pay for everything, even just a tiny room that cannot fit us all" that come in her months, made me realized early days that city wasn't picture as the same in our heads, a city is a place not everyone owned a room, the town is not a paradise to some. I am proud that I once lived in a house made of simple woods, which gives me memories of my childhood. And visiting another home like this has never been shameful but gives me the side of looking back on those days.

What was your definition of home? Is this the tiles floor or the cemented one that was purely varnished? This is my elder's home. Last Wednesday, I came to my grandfather's place. I do that daily to check them; I also want to help when they need something, especially helping them lift their water.

They still wanted to be in their own home even though they were now growing old. They still wanted to live as if they were independent.

Home is what awaits when our elders smile when you come and visit, the generous grandpa who still wanted to prepare snacks for their young, that is what I always have, not just Wednesday as I arrived and see them, listening to radio drama together, talking about the past. That was home for me, and they are the home I wanted, as always.

As I came to visit, my grandparents last Wednesday also took the opportunity to look for some edible vegetables in their backyards, which is also one of the best things that come from them. Still, the farming and love of planting never faded even though they were getting older. They want to live in nature, produce their food in the soils where they feed their children, and now becomes our parent.

I spotted a mature Papaya, and I did say that he must keep the papaya for me when it ripens. I shall come back to get the fruit. He just smiled and said yes, sure.

Wednesday's walk in my grandfather's home and a garden makes me smile as I go home, realizing that at their age, they could still do things as much as possible they wanted to become independent in their move, yet still, there was part of me who wanted to check them.

As I did walk from my home, I came to another house which was also the same place as home in my heart. That's the love of my grandfather.

Also, last Wednesday, I did celebrate my two months of stay here. It started last July 7, 2022, when I signed up and made my introductory post as soon as possible. I made a lot of friends, and I learned new things. Lucky I was that writing was never new to me, so I made my stays a little bit smooth.

This Wednesday night, I received a piece of lovely news. From small fish, I have evolved to a minnow, a special thing for me, a grand event. I wanted to make my stay here long as I am also looking at the opportunities that await. As my full efforts have been given nice shots.

As I looked at my experience these past two months and how many things I learned, I wanted to share some portion for help. As @dennnmarc and I came from the days and celebrated our two months of stay, we decided to help a newbie to make his visit more meaningful.

We often talk and share things in life, and as we celebrate our specialties, we decided it's also time to help others, like how somebody helps us.

We decided to spare some of our Hive power to help some of our friends grow more and interact more on the server. This will also be the best part, where we loved to give back what was given to us from the start of our stay.

Wednesday was lucky, as I was woken up to walk, visit my elders, and receive the good news that I been evolved.

How about you? What Wednesday gives you this week? I am eager to hear it too.

I'm just happy for the both of us achieving something like this, a milestone. Let us just continue supporting newbies even if we're still newbies as well. Cheers!

Great job in achieving such a milestone Eu, I am proud that you are also paying it forward to others as this will be able to stretch the help needed to some.

About the Wednesday walk, since I grew up in a city such houses are not quite famous anymore but we had our humble home too like that a bungalow made of good lumber and plywood. ( Some parts are now used as papag)

Hoping one day we can visit your hometown and pick those ripe papayas, is their color orange or yellow? haha oh! you can come to my home town too Kuya, @eunoia101.

It's something that really motivates every little fish out there like me. I don't actually know what a minnow is so I searched for it on google. Anyway, Wednesday seemed a great day to you due to the experiences you've shared.

Congrats on a new milestone!

Will be forever grateful for the continuous help that I am receiving from both of you. From the very first day when I joined the Hive community, you two are the first ones to help me and guide for me to move around here. The generosity that you have and the overall support are truly appreciated. Once my account grows like yours, I will never forget to help other newbies as well just like what you did to me. Thanks, @eunoia101 and @dennnmarc ! My big bros :))
