Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 174 ~ My Gardening Experience

(Edited)

Write about your weekend gardening projects, past, present, or what you want to do in the future. Garden beds, potted or balcony gardens...basically any situation in which you're personally growing and tending plants. Remember, you must use your own photos.

Well, I do not have a garden and I do not know and I am not sure if I would want to have one in the future for now. Considering my ambition and goals in the future if Christ carries to come as it is said, I may not be free enough to tend to them except I may have to hire a gardener to help me take care of it while I just get the produce when it comes.

Although my mom has one which is far away from our home, more like in another town very far from us, she goes alone or most times with my sibling to weed and clear when it is that time of the year but I don't accompany her but I do it eat the produce that comes out of it.

This is me in my friend's mother's garden, early this year precisely, we needed to get away for the holiday but we knew to get approval from her parents especially her dad without him batting an eyelid we needed to do something to enter his good book of record, so we both decided that since we were going to be clearing their little garden not far from their house on a particular weekend, a week before we announce our travel plan to them especially her dad.

For someone like me who has never entered one in ages, it was difficult to cope with waking up in the early hours of the morning before sunset, so I had to go over to her place to pass the night so it would be easy, so I don't change my mind with the same speed I accepted to go with her and even when I told my mom about the whole plan, she was shocked because I never willing accept such offer even if it is presented in a platter of gold but I did, what won't I do for friendship. Lol

So, yeah, we cleared the little we could, I got bitten by some insects I do not even know the names even though I wore something long to protect myself from their bit, and ran out immediately we felt hunger striking our belly and the sun setting in with no mercy on humans. Well, when it was time for the harvest, I got a share of the produce, like they say, "Those who work from the temple, eat from the temple", so yeah I ate from the temple.

Well, I think you did it for a plate of gold, because what is friendship if not that?

Assalamu Alaikum friend. You have created a wonderful garden. Here we can see that you have prepared the garden with different vegetables. I want to be eternally grateful to you for taking such an initiative. Because we are currently suffering from climate change or becoming a victim of various accidents. The people of the country are suffering from various insecurities. Just because of climate change. So I am very happy with the initiative you have taken. I always wish you the best. Plus I think you'll plant a tree garden and get your kids interested in planting trees too. I wish you all the best in this contest.
