A Podcaster In The Making?

I've been told for years by many people that know me that I have a "radio voice" and should consider starting a podcast. I don't hear it myself, but started hearing these compliments when I had a job in telephony and spoke to thousands of people each week.

(BTW, I'm loving this little break I’m taking from talking about just crypto, as I have so much more on my mind).

Getting Equipped

Lately, I had an opportunity to start considering some equipment for such a venture, and picked up my first decent boom arm for a mic. I have an older ATR2100 USB mic that I use for Zoom sessions in classes and always received compliments for my voice coming in nice and clear.

Now this isn't even a pro mic itself, but is a step up from what I'd been using before. Since I do listen to a lot of podcasts (Joe Rogan, anybody?) I like that deep, rich sound that comes with a good setup. The great thing is that you really don't have to spend a ton of money to upgrade your sound.

I mean sure, one could go hog-wild and build an actual studio, but for now, I'll settle for a starter desktop setup. I have such varied interests, that the issue for me would be what to talk about.

Listen To Learn

Here, I'm known for being a good listener while giving good responses on the fly. One of my bosses at work told me "I like it that whenever we chat, you always have responses ready to go" and I think that comes from years of reading and always having a thirst for knowledge.

So my innate ability to listen combined with my natural sense of curiosity, might make for a nice pairing in the world of podcasting. Just have to figure out which direction I want to head in, then step on the accelerator and GO!

I ‘noticed this' and it baffled me. Thousands each week? I'm curious whether you call yourself an introvert or if you're exceptionally social / outgoing compared to most people on the blockchain haha!

Looking forward to hearing more about your venture into podcasting and I'm extra curious when the topic isn't crypto ;>)

(Edited)

I worked as a directory assistance operator for Verizon and took over 1000 calls per day. More of an introvert unless it involves something I'm passionate about. I haven't made a final decision about a podcast as I'm pressed for time, but want to have everything ready just in case. It's not often I get the chance to chat with an "(philoso)raptor", so I thought I'd jump at the chance! :)
