Hold on for two more weeks my child of light, then the days will start getting longer again.
You wanna shoot with natural light? Too late, you missed the 10 minute window when the sun was high enough!
I’m slightly obsessed with this Sun Seeker app where I can see where the sun is going to be, how high and when is sunset and sunrise. It’s actually very useful for planning if you are thinking of going out to shoot or need a specific kind of light at your location. You can go into a map view and see exactly when the sun hits that south-east corner of the house.

And to think that we complain about the lack of light in the Paris region during this season. you have to be born in Finland to endure this lack of sunshine. On the other hand, I envy you your magnificent landscapes that you share with us all year round. It is not that we do not have sumptuous landscapes, but nature is not as massively preserved as in your country.
Et dire que l'on se plaint du manque de lumière en région parisienne durant cette saison. il faut être né en Finlande pour supporter ce manque de soleil. Par contre, je t'envie tes magnifiques paysages que tu partages avec nous toute l'année. Ce n'est pas que nous n'ayons pas de paysages somptueux, mais la nature n'est pas aussi massivement préservée que dans votre pays.
It’s all relative. We don’t like it either but we just deal with it because in the summer it’s the opposite and sun barely sets.
Considering that your population density is 116 people per square kilometre, versus our 16(!)people per square kilometre, I think you are right about the amount of nature that is on show.
Hopefully you like astronomy, because you would have so much time to see the night sky... and the northern lights!
I do like seeing the night sky that is not ruined by light pollution. I’m spending a lot of time in the north these days so there is a good chance of me seeing the northern lights more on the regular too :)

Oh, god I have water photographer friends who have been trying to figure out when they can take a surf photo from inside a wave with the sunrise showing in the opening... I would just go blank listening to their shit. Probably like you are now reading this haha. Anyhow they need this!
