No magic here, just mathematics.
I’ve really wanted wainscoting to my walls and I finally got some materials to do an accent wall in the bedroom to try it out.
I have big plans to do wainscoting and picture frame molding to basically every room. I think that might cost me lots in the form of beer and whisky, a laser lever and a proper good mitre saw.
Math is not my strong suit so I nearly lost my marbles while trying to design the right proportions and measure everything. I really hope this works outs nicely.
It’s great that we have two bedrooms so we can go on a holiday to the other one and don’t have to rush a project like this. Though obviously I want the walls prepped and painted, and frames and baseboards installed in a day please and thank you.
Pray for my man as he has to cut all these pieces and install them onto a room where nothing is straight (except us) and even.

Mitres are problematic when the measurements, and/or the mathematics, are wrong. Get that right and that fellow of yours is likely to have no problems at all as I know he has skills.

Check and recheck is my motto. (One of them anyway.) There comes a time when you have to just back yourself though. I'm sure you've nailed it.

Yeah, that works also. The end result is the same, or similar.
Make sure you have lots of good wood filler to hide the cracks.

Love how you're redoing that entire house, and making it so unique. Obviously, you've got really good taste, and I'm guessing putting so much effort and attention into every part of the house will really give it a different feel when it's done.

This house will never ever be done and because we have big (and boring) renovations that need to be done at some point, I’m just trying to do something to spruce up the place with budget options for now. I’m also a mental case and have a hundred different ideas in my head at all times and jump to here and there with no fucking consistency. 😅
Remember it’s always the husband if I ever get murdered. The motive is I drove him crazy with my ideas and the amount of work I made him do for the house.
