Dipping Below the Treeline

Last light and still my favourite landscape view. Trying to look at winter on the bright side (eh eh) by thinking how awesome it is that sunrise and sunset are almost intertwined for how close they are together. How'd you like golden hour for all day? I'm a fan for sure.

You're lucky that didn't start a forest fire.

Yeah. And a nice break from the cold.

Oooo that’s cool, like real real cool. I think the min temp I’ve been is -35 and that’s already pretty extreme.

It's gnarly and not something you can enjoy for long. I still go out in it though, dressed properly of course. The air is so nice to breathe, the colder it gets, it seems. Just feels more pure and refreshing. -35 is still extreme yes, and happens often here. -50 is rare. Skin can freeze in two minutes.

Anything below -30 is not really for humans anymore. My eyes water easily so my face would be frozen solid in -50. Definite agree that cold air just feels purer, if I’m stuffy and sick, I sleep with the window open in the winter, much easier to breathe.

Watery eyes is one thing. I tend to keep a beard, so I grow icicles on my face just from breathing LOL!

A long golden hour would be pretty sweet, as long as it isn't too cold!
