Prettiest Corner in Town and Freewriting

Couple years back I bought the small Fujifilm x100-series camera for the sole reason that I’d always have a camera with me where ever I go, without sacrificing picture quality. I love my big Nikon(s) but they are quite the burden to carry on an everyday basis if I’m not really going out for shooting. I know a lot of people can take good, if not even great, images on their cellphones, but I’ve never mastered that. I absolutely hate taking pictures on my iPhone, I think the camera is shit, and the controls are shit, and the quality is shit.

Yesterday I went to the movies and knew it would end around 11pm, right around sunset. I had every intention to take my lil camera with me so I could take pictures on my walk home if it looked nice outside, like I assumed it would because the weather had been tumultuous, which usually makes for great skyporn in the evening. I wss right, but I had forgotten my camera. I even had a bag with me, and along a half a kilo of candies for the movie, there wouls have been plenty of space in bag for a camera. I only took this one image on my phone and it’s alright, but it could be a lot better.

Many times when I’ve mentioned on the chain about walking home alone, after dark, though it doesn’t get dark in the summertime at all, I get concerned comments. People who live outside Scandinavia, or other somewhat civilized country, think it’s very risky for a woman to be walking alone at night. I live in one of the safest countries in the world, and in a small city at that, and I’ve never felt threatened by anyone while walking alone. I’m not stupid and think I am always safe no matter what, I don’t wear headphones at night and I do keep my eyes open, but it really is very safe in here. I’m much more vigilant when I travel.

I’m so grateful to live in the safe have that Finland is. I can go out what ever time I want, and don’t need a chaperone. Funny thing in the modern world is that people are actually more scared when they are in the woods, than in the cities, even though other people are a far bigger thread to one another than anything in the Finnish nature. I’m countryside girl so I know they are more scared of you than you are of them.

I used my skills to subtly blend in the background to enhance the subject

You seem to take yourself and things a little too seriously - it is good that you are laughing now, it seems that it might be a rare occurrence. Laughter is good for the health.

That is what people say when an artpiece is sold for 3million dollars.

When you have put as much time into practice as I, it is hard to be outdone. This one only took me 4 hours to complete.

No surprise. Masterpieces take time.
