Three Homes

Once again I’m packed and ready to travel to a different home for a few days. Within a week, I’ll be spending time in what I consider all of the three homes I have. Technically only one of them is my real home but then again, home is where the heart is, aight?

I get bored of one place easily even though I also don’t particularly love to travel, but I do like to change between the city and countryside homes. I am extremely privileged to have the opportunity to enjoy the easiness of city life one day and the next I can be almost off the grid in the country, and then to the newest addition of different scenery in northern Ostrobothnia. It’s a lot of hours sitting on the bus for me but it’s well worth it for my heart and sanity.

If only all of my wardrobe could travel with me as easily as myself… It’s a real struggle, especially towards winter when you need a lot of clothes to survive. I’m always packing stuff fitting from forest adventure to a restaurant and casual chilling, that’s three shoes and two coats minimum, with all the other clothes. First world problems, I know.

When I’m rich I’ll have triplicates of everything so I’ll never have to lug around another piece of clothing between homes. One can dream. The minimal lifestyle is not for me.

Minimalism has no place in my life either, I want a boat when I am rich, then I wake up where I want.

I wish you’ll have a huge yacht with a year round staff to service and maintain everything 🎉

Even without the travel, wardrobe has been an issue around here recently.

In the last week, we've had a high of 40 degrees and this morning, we got down to 8 degrees.

The dog's and I both prefer the cooler weather ... but switching from sandals and shorts to hiking boots, jeans and a sweater is a first world problem that folks in the warmer climates can't appreciate. :-)

Have a great trip to house number 3. Know that when you are rich, not only will you have stashes of clothes at every place ... you will always be able to have the driver take a quick detour so that you can pick up a new outfit en route. :-)

Lol at the bipolar weather up north, but also that’s the best right? I get bored during every season and always excited when it changes after some time.

I think a helicopter would be really practical for the 150-400km frequent trips between homes 🤪
