Tulliniemi Nature Trail

I took so much pictures during my few day trip to Hanko, that I almost forgot to go through them all, and post them.

Hanko is not a big city but there's loads to see, so me and mom were really active during our trip. Luckily we had the most perfect summer weather so it was really nice to do a lot of walking. On one morning, we got up fairly early and decided to walk the nature trail all the way down to the most southern point of Finland.

Tulliniemi (Customs Cape in English) is partly closed off for ship yards or something like that, but to one side is a long sandy beach, and to other is this nature trail. It's about 7km long, but since it's nature reserve and on a narrow piece of land, you are instructed to walk only on the 3,5km path there and back, which makes the walk back a bit more boring.

Finnish people have a newfound love for hiking and being in the nature because of covid-19, so the most touristy spots are filled with people when it's nice weather. Luckily it was a weekday and we were up and out way before noon, so there wasn't too many people out with us. When we were coming back, there were heaps more people coming to the trail, and it started to feel a bit claustrophobic. I don't got into the nature to see other people.

The walk itself is super nice, partly along the shore, a bit in the lush woods, and ending up on the rocky cape with views to the Baltic sea.

Shot with the Nikon D750 and Sigma 85mm f/1.4.

Fucking Pokemon hunting. Lol...Although I guess it has its benefits. Having said that though, I've seen some Pokemon-hunters who should eat less and hunt more.
