Winter Morning Walk

talviaamunen4.jpg

It's the most gorgeous weather with -25 degrees Celsius, sunny, no wind and lots of snow, just absolutely perfect in my opinion. I headed for a brisk walk first thing in the morning, layered up in wool and proper outerwear. I was outside for almost two hours and didn't feel cold one bit.

I was quite surprised to see that there were very few people outside, only the odd dog walker and people heading to work in the cars. I obviously didn't mind that. We haven't seen sun for more than a few minutes in the past month so I would have expected everyone to be outside all excited about this beautiful winter day.

Pictures taken with the trusty Nikon D750 and Sigma 85mm f/1.4.

Good sensible shoes there Eve me girl! Lol. How've ya been mate? Well I hope.

Snow isn't much of a thing for most of Australia but the snow I've been in has been cold...Funny that huh? The thing is, I've never experienced -25 and someday I reckon I want to. It sounds like good cuddling weather, that's how my cuddle-centric mind thinks anyway. Someday I'll get to experience...I reckon I'd rather cuddle in -25 than do *anything in +47 which is what we'll be heading for soon.

Anyway, I hope you're good. Drop in and say hello sometime. No pressure but, do it! But seriously, no pressure. :)

I don’t mess around when it’s this cold and snowy outside. Me and my winter clothes are so happy to go outside in proper winter weather.

+47 is just agony, unless it’s in sauna, but then it is actually too cold 😁 I do hope you can have a chance to witness -25, it’s a joy!

Sorry I’ve been off Hive for the past weeks, haven’t really felt like being active. But I do keep my eye on cupcakes and such😉

It's difficult to imagine what it must be like to be honest...I mean I've been cold, but that's something else again. +47 is terrible and I hate it but it's a reality of where I live and so we have to accept it.

It' seems you have a very good cupcake-security focus...This is a good thing because with me around...Well let's just say * no cupcake is safe!* 😀

If the sun is above horizon for less than 6 hours per day and behind thick clouds every day, it doesn't really matter if you are inside 😅

That looks beautiful!!!

From your photos, I'm imagining the squeaky sound of your feet crunching the snow.

We've been floating around 0° when we're normally below -20° around this time of year. I'm looking forward to the deep freeze.

Isn’t that just the best sound!

Weather has been awesome for once, but we still need more sub zero temps to get the lake to freeze properly.

Wow it looks so pristine and beautiful! Can you believe I’ve never seen thick snow? Only flurries and snow that doesn’t even stick LOL more mud than snow 😂
