Winter Sun and Delightful Details

Sun passing through old windowpanes, making the light ripple in the most delightful way. Apparently back in the day windows were made differently and had more flaws, almost like the glass drips, which I just think looks better.

I'm a huge fan of beautiful little worn out details in old houses, maybe some that not everyone would pay attention to; like crackled paint and brass handles darkened in use, generations worth of life.

Old glass is the BEST!
It almost flows... it has flaws and sags and seeps and there are sometimes, bubbles too... pretty cool what the sunlight does in that case!

The old glass masters would be horrified if they knew we adore the flaws 😝

HA! right?
I live in a house with old glass windows, and glass built in cabinets... I love the old glass. Even with the flaws that the glass makers would be embarrassed about. today's stuff has no character
