Initiative : Tell us what you tell yourself. My grandparents used to tell me that? [ESP-ENG]

Un saludo mi querida comunidad holos&lotus y a todos lo que hacen vida en esta linda plataforma, aquí me encuentro una vez mas para hablar de un nuevo tema por cortesía de la amiga @charja, quien nos comparte una iniciativa donde tengo mucha tela que cortar, porque para iniciar les puedo decir que mi niñez fue al lado de mi abuela materna, ella fue la encargada de mi crianza como también de mi educación, además en una casa que estaba conformada prácticamente por adultos mayores, entonces como es el tópico de esta iniciativa tengo demasiado cuento que contar que en su gran mayoría son mitos y creencias de mis abuelos.

Greetings my dear holos&lotus community and all who make life in this beautiful platform, here I am once again to talk about a new topic courtesy of the friend @charja, who shares an initiative where I have a lot of fabric to cut, because to start I can tell you that my childhood was next to my maternal grandmother, She was in charge of my upbringing as well as my education, also in a house that was practically made up of older adults, so as is the topic of this initiative I have a lot of stories to tell that are mostly myths and beliefs of my grandparents.

Principalmente les voy a contar uno que aun mantengo no se si fue porque se hizo costumbre por la cantidad de años que lo cumplí tan religiosamente. Antes de acostarme además de cepillarme tenia que bañarme y vestirme no les hablo de pijama, sino de cualquier otro tipo de ropa porque según había que estar preparado a la hora de dormir por si acaso se presentaba cualquier tipo de contingencia me refiero desde algo de salud como también algún desastre natural como por ejemplo un terremoto. Todo esto viene a raíz que ellos vivieron a orillas de un rio y cuando este crecía perdían todos sus enceres, incluso quedaban solo con la ropa que tenían puesta. De tanto hacer esto todos los días y a pesar de haber transcurrido bastante tiempo aun me cuesta dormir con poca ropa

Mainly I am going to tell you about one that I still keep, I don't know if it was because it became a habit due to the number of years that I did it so religiously. Before going to bed, besides brushing my hair, I had to take a bath and get dressed. I am not talking about pajamas, but any other type of clothes because according to them, I had to be prepared at bedtime in case of any type of contingency, from health problems to natural disasters such as an earthquake. All this comes from the fact that they lived on the banks of a river and when the river grew, they lost all their belongings, they were left with only the clothes they were wearing. From doing this every day and even though it has been a long time, it is still hard for me to sleep with just a few clothes on.

Por otra parte los días la semana mayor o semana santa que son unos días muy religiosos, desde hace mucho tiempo tomamos eses periodo de vacaciones para celebrarlo de otra manera la principal es ir a la playa. Mientras mi abuela estuvo viva en casa no se comía carne esa semana en especial los días jueves y viernes y mucho menos podíamos bañarnos en la playa porque nos podía salir escamas o convertirnos, no recuerdo muy bien si era en pescado o sirena

On the other hand the days of semana mayor or semana santa which are very religious days, for a long time we have taken that vacation period to celebrate it in another way, the main one is to go to the beach. While my grandmother was alive at home we did not eat meat that week especially on Thursdays and Fridays and much less we could bathe at the beach because we could get scales or become, I do not remember very well if it was fish or mermaid.

En fin crecí con tantos miedos, que lo peor es que en su gran mayoría de las veces te contaban lo que no debías hacer y muchas veces no decían el porque, solo era una serie de mitos y creencia que venían pasando de generación en generación y siento que se debían cumplir para no pasar por desobediente. Uno que se escapa y creo en mi, un miedo nocturno era que no se podía jugar de noche porque te salían los duendes. Este me marco hasta ahora de adulta porque a pesar de dormir acompañada no supero estar en un cuarto que este totalmente oscuro, siempre para dormir tengo encendida una lampara en mi cuarto

In short, I grew up with so many fears, and the worst thing is that most of the time they told you what you shouldn't do and many times they didn't say why, it was just a series of myths and beliefs that were passed from generation to generation and I feel that they had to be fulfilled in order not to be disobedient. One that escapes and I believe in me, a night fear was that you could not play at night because the goblins would come out. This has marked me until now as an adult because even though I sleep in company I can't get over being in a room that is totally dark, I always have a lamp on in my room to sleep.
