Tutorial for making a cute baby dress combining beautiful vibrant colors

Un saludo mi querida comunidad @needleworkmonday y otro muy especial para todos los amantes del arte de la costura. En este lunes de costura les quiero compartir una idea de diseño para un vestido de bebe que me encargaron, el cliente me pidió que el diseño tuviera una combinación de colores vibrantes asi que luego de buscar en mi almacén de telas me encontré con este lindo estampado de vaquita muy tierno y coqueto que justo me venia perfecto, un color naranja muy fuerte que se podía combinar fácilmente con un color mas neutro y pensé que un tono beige le quedaría bien, junte ambas telas y cuando ya estaba decidida con el color de telas, estampado y diseño me puse manos a la obra. Es bastante fácil de hacer, con un volante corto en la falda y tambien un par en las mangas para darle ese toque de coquetería que caracteriza este tipo de ropita de bebe.

Greetings to my dear @needleworkmonday community and a very special hello to all lovers of the art of sewing. On this sewing Monday, I want to share with you a design idea for a baby dress that I was commissioned to make. The customer asked me to use a combination of vibrant colors, so after searching through my fabric stash, I found this cute, sweet cow print that was just perfect. a very bright orange that could be easily combined with a more neutral color, and I thought a beige tone would go well with it. I put both fabrics together, and once I had decided on the fabric colors, print, and design, I got to work. It's quite easy to make, with a short ruffle on the skirt and a couple on the sleeves to give it that touch of charm that characterizes this type of baby clothing.

Inicie este proyecto colocando los patrones que usare sobre la tela, siempre doblando la tela hacia el lado que estira y colocando el patron por el doblez, dejamos como unos 5cm o 6cm de largo y cortamos por todo el borde del papel ya que estos patrones ya tienen margen de costura. Repetimos el paso para la parte delantera, trasera y mangas. Hecho esto vamos a pasar una costura por los hombros para cerrar ambas partes con una costura recta y luego zig zag.

Start this project by placing the patterns you will use on the fabric, always folding the fabric toward the side that stretches and placing the pattern on the fold. Leave about 5 cm or 6 cm in length and cut along the entire edge of the paper, as these patterns already have a seam allowance. Repeat this step for the front, back, and sleeves. Once this is done, sew along the shoulders to close both sides with a straight stitch and then a zigzag stitch.

Seguidamente cortamos las tiras para hacer los volantes que irán por las mangas, primero pasamos una costura zig zag por unos de los bordes y luego una costura abierta para arruchar a la medida que queremos en la manga. Cuando tengamos ambas tiras cosidas procedemos a fijarla con alfiler a la manga para luego pasarle costura con recta y luego zig zag para rematar.

Next, cut the strips to make the ruffles that will go on the sleeves. First, sew a zigzag stitch along one of the edges, then an open stitch to gather the fabric to the desired size on the sleeve. Once both strips are sewn, pin them to the sleeve, then sew with a straight stitch and finish with a zigzag stitch.

Por último como lindo toque tambien le realice un dobladillo al extremo de la manga y quedara con ese efecto ondulado, tambien corte ambas tiras en la tela estampada que será la falda de nuestro vestido. Yo corte la tira larga de unos 22cm mientras que la tira mas pequeña la corte de 11cm aprox. Procedo a coser el dobladillo que realice en la manga por un borde mientras que en el otro con costura abierta realice el arruche. Ya una vez tengo listo este paso procedo a cerrar la parte superior por los costados y finalmente cierro la falda y la uno con la parte superior.

Finally, as a nice touch, I also hemmed the end of the sleeve to give it a wavy effect, and I cut both strips from the patterned fabric that will be the skirt of our dress. I cut the long strip to about 22 cm, while the smaller strip was cut to approximately 11 cm. I then sewed the hem I had made on the sleeve along one edge, while on the other edge I made the gathering with an open seam. Once this step was complete, I closed the top along the sides and finally closed the skirt and joined it to the top.
