Revival - Stephen King

That book was one wild ride and half! All that build up and chapter 13 just slams you all around the room leaving serious whiplash!!
I definitely got Pennywise vibes from the mother character and if I’m not mistaken- in the very beginning when Jamie was a little bit and first met charlie, wasn’t there some sort of ant hill reference? I did an audiobook so I can’t go back and look real quick but if my memory serves me correctly, damn.

I think it’s very sad what happens to Charlie. desperate people do desperate things and i think he was just a lost man after losing his wife & child, and wasn’t a bad person. just did some shady shit in attempt to scratch a crazy itch.

Jamie’s story was nice to read. you got a glimpse into his personal life on major events that had taken place and you were able to feel both the child like sense of things in the very beginning and a lot of that seemed to carry through Jamie, he wasn’t a bad kid, just got into the wrong stuff and thankfully turned a new leaf- but as it’s said with the healing comes consequences. i liked reading about his family and the reunion they had as adults was a heartwarming moment.

It was sad hearing his niece had such a negative reaction to him. i wonder what it is she saw? the “shadow” casted over Jamie? why after the revival did she fear him and not something she always saw as his “side effect”? (this reminds me of a moment in Insomnia)

I definitely got dark tower vibes with the description of the “after life” mother had shown Jamie-
I do wish there was more of mother and more of an explanation as to who she/it was, where they came from, why, etc. but i don’t feel that was the last of mother we’ll be seeing! This all was a lot to process.
