Catching the sun

No, I never run out of Lichen shots. Never.

I shoot them every time I see them. With macro lens all I need is a small group of them preferably in some well lit spot. All the details that the camera and lens can catch is unbelievable and I am not even that good in macro.

Those tiny things are less than 1cm in height - and that's the biggest ones, and a few mm in diameter.

The moss that was growing together with the Lichens looked like street lamps, especially when the sun was shining directly at the maturing spore capsules.

It is a tiny, tiny world that would not pay much attention too if I didn't have my camera with me.
They definitely didn't pay much attention to me. Camera or no camera :p

All that little world on the side of the park path. Shadow from the trees and bushes, some pile of soil and decomposing plants.
And we get some happy campers there.

Don't you just wanna shoot them all?
They are all different...
I am not crazy
I am not crazy

I said I am not crazy!

What beautiful pictures. Sometimes we pass by such small but beautiful things. If we look a little more carefully, we can actually witness these fairy-tale images. We do not see these beauties because we deal with the problems that life brings us. If only we could stop and breathe for a while, then we can focus on these beautiful things and find peace. Thanks to you, these images made me happy. It was as if I went to a fairy-tale world. Very professionally taken pictures.🧚‍♂️🧚‍♀️🧚🧜‍♀️

I am so glad they did!
One of the things about macrophotography is that we see things we normally wouldn't pay attention to.
Hope you have a nice day there :)

Well said. I always love looking at @ewkaw's snaps. She has a certain way that she captures plants, bugs, cats etc.... Artistic and pleasing to the eye. There's always a few that are stand back and say "Wow" captures 👌
