Come dance with me

Anemone dance 3.jpg

I have to admit that Anemones are one of the most photogenic flowers I have ever grown. I had a few colours in a pot, but those navy blue/purple ones were the stars. Always.

From the moment the buds start to show the colour to the moment the last petals fall off, they just look amazing.
This one I kept at home in a vase as a cut flower. Just to enjoy it from up close. They generally don't last long and I was watching it fade day by day. Then those two petals left all twisted and turned and it looked like it was dancing! Waving it's arms up and down, twirling and looking all proud :).

A quick look to the center - probably most photographed part of the plant.
By everyone.
It is just so attractive with all the satellites and nearly black colour. Later that smooth head will turn to a ball of fluff hiding some seeds inside.

I don't have them anymore. The bulbs I got lasted a few years growing and blooming twice every season. But every year there was less and less of them. This spring only a few leaves grew. No more flowers. Since I have limited space and so many plants I want to grow it was time to switch to a different plant.
But I will get anemones again one day.

Thanks a lot! I always have enough time to think of the title while editing the photos... Usually something they remind me off.

A hairy alien face 😉

Of course, a fresh and still complete blossom is beautiful, but also such incomplete and withered blossoms are very beautiful too, especially when they are photographed like you have done it they have their special beauty, and the title you have chosen matches the photos perfectly, @ewkaw 😊
